I agree, this version is better suited for the series.
Can't say for sure but I think they're trying to keep them as friends from Han Ting's side and a one-sided love from her side. Because she was visibly triggered when that photo of Ji Xing & Han Ting as college mates was posted on the office intranet.

I'm guessing that initially Han Ting will be on the back foot because 1) He misunderstood her due to that message, ages ago. 2) Ji Xing has a boyfriend for now.
And even when they get together, professionally, there's no easy path because she's was his junior and he knows that she's a little too naive(in a good way) and he'd want to protect her from the obvious hostility that's coming her way, real soon.
I'm just waiting to see how they develop this relationship from college mates to colleagues to partners to lovers....
I've read the novel and loved it but this version of Han Ting has his own distinctive personality which is quite different from the book. I'm loving Xu Kai's (and writers of the show) version.... ππ
Well, except that the director, at first was praised, is now being scolded, so that has to be concerning.
True. But I don't really read or comment in the forums, unless of course the other person is calm and reasonable enough to have a proper conversation with. And yeah, I totally blocked all those negative comments. They're baseless.
The stills from 'Moonlit Reunion' are giving me really positive vibes. Plus the fact that we have Xu Kai and Tian Xi Wei who are both super good looking and fabulous actors. So, in all I think this show is gonna do wonders. π€π

I watched the show, The Double. Trust me it's really good. Just that the extra 5 mins showed us the life of the lead couple after a major event in their life, which wasn't really needed. They could've ended the show with the last episode which had spectacular cinematography.
It was because Nainai and her 2nd husband were together when they were advanced in age. And people gossipped about…
Prejudices often do that to people, I guess. But after years, and with everything Grandma has done for MCH over the years, till date(letting MCH stay with her after the fallout with her mother.) He understood now that his step-mom is essentially a good person.
Wow, Nainai us the most intelligent family member that ML & FL share. She's going to leave both her grandkids an everlasting gift, something she craved for all her life - FAMILY!!!
Next episodes are gonna be high on Drama, tears and emotional upheaval π
I really would like drama to tell me why the father had a falling out with his stepmother (grandma) because if…
It was because Nainai and her 2nd husband were together when they were advanced in age. And people gossipped about them. So, MCH's dad was unhappy about it at that time. But now he realises the pain and hardship his step-mom went through.
Who knew that a bedsheet drying scene could be so romantic? ππ
MCH & YZM creeping towards each other while growing up with each other too.
This story is about living life without regrets. We go through life balancing many relationships.
But the ones that stick are the ones which are at equal footing.
And sometimes, parents and their grown-up children need to go through trials in order to adjust their mutual relationships as well.
I'm loving this show. So many life's lessons ππ (P.S. Major friction between ML & FL up ahead. I hope character development does all the work. The theme is, 'Can you like / work with someone, who has the very thing that you've desperately wished for?')
Loved episodes 11-12. I think FL will become the support system that ML never had but given his traumatic past and his Dad being in jail,
There's going to be a lot of DRAMA, before they learn to rely on each other.
As far as the teasers are concerned, I love the conflict they're building up. If the push doesn't come to a shove (FL being pushed by her overbearing mother) then she will never become who she's actually meant to be, ML's partner in life AND business.

Can't wait for Ji Xing & Han Ting's work collab. π€©

So, imma impatient. Its so difficult to wait πΏ
The Double was a runaway success. If it's the same director then I'm manifesting an airing date for this year π€π€π€π€ππ
Moonlit Reunion is gonna be so good...πππππ
I wish they get a separate, well-written show soon π€π€

With each new episode, they hook us harder as each new subplot drags us deeper into the story.ππ
And OMG 'THE ROMANCE' is so strategically interwoven into the central storyline. Duke Su + Jiang Li/Xue Fang Fei πππππ
Brilliant writers, excellent actors and top-notch direction & production.
(I wanna bitch-slap The Princess so hard, she's driving me nuts π‘π‘ π‘
But the actress playing the character has nailed it. So kudos to her performance ππ)
