Yes, I feel like sending a lawyer letter would be more reasonable if it was a breach of contract. Therefore not quite sure how the exact wording was in the contract. Maybe there are some loopholes which is why the studio couldn't go that route. Technically she is still top billing, so it is abiding by the contract. She just not the sole top biller. Personally I don't see how this can make anyone seem to come out on top. If I were a director or production company, seeing this I may become less inclined to work with the actress on any future works. This shows bad judgment since it is hurting the drama itself and no one is really benefiting from it from what I can see. For me, I'm still enjoying the drama. But I have to admit finding out about this did made me like the character Han Lingsha a bit less. For some reason it did affect me when viewing the drama. But I'm not holding it against the drama or character. Just like how I feel one mistake of a supporting character nowadays can cause a halt to a series airing. The fault of one should not be punishment to all that had nothing to do with it.

I feel who is top billing should be kept hidden from the public for all series. I don't understand why it's made public. When they make a movie I don't think they announce how much each actor or actress gets paid. Why can't it be same for series. I also agree CZY is also a better actor. I could see a clear difference in the scene where they were getting choked. Just hope it die down since it not fair to others who work on the drama. To be honest I started watching cause of ML. If it was JJY carrying the drama I would not start since I have been unable to finish any past series she has been in. Her role in the series so far is watchable, but as far any acting awards she still has a long way to go.

Yeah, the billing thing should be a private issue, I don't understand why JJY studio had to come out with a statement as such. To be honest, she is not that great of an actress from her last works. Top billing should be for people who can act not base on just popularity. I was skeptical of her in the series, but so far she eem to be doing ok. But this statement does not make her look good. She should have settled this dispute privately. In addition didn't the actors already get paid. So what difference would it make now.

The ML and FL character for some reason reminds me of Kwok Jing and Huang Rong from Condor Heroes. ML is innocent and righteous. FL is smart and cunning. Liking it so far. Hope it keeps getting better. I was kind of skeptical because of FL, but so far the character seem to suit her better than other roles she had played before.

Omg, both Sword and Fairies release same day. One from iqiyi and the other from tencent. Talk about going head to head. One has Chen Zheyuan the other Esther Yu. I think I have to watch both.

Yes, I feel like the series could have gone a different direction and made it on the bromance and friendship of ML and the crown prince and more serious on investigation. It could still have comedic moments without the FL and the empahsis on the love story. I liked the scenes and the crown prince and ML together. Also ML assistant. The character of the FL was just not likable through the whole thing. To be honest I had to skip through alot of the FL scenes. It was just too redundant and to be too much filler to me.

I kinda feel the same. I don't get it either. I'm not sure if I can continue watching. I feel the ML did nothing wrong and yet he seem to be taking the blame on himself.

They have it on Linmon Youtube channel Eng subs. I guess this is another joint publication. The same thing happened with A Journey To Love and it was with Linmon. I hope people are not rating it low because of this. It not fair to the people who worked on the drama. It is also on Viki

His voice is very suitable for his character too. I only seen ep1. I went into this without expectation but surprisingly liking it a lot right now.

i just started this, and while I know it will probably sweet later on, I'm a bit confused and annoyed how the FL can put the blame on ML for rejecting her. She has had a crush on him for a long time, but she never revealed until her friend got married. If she liked him, she shouldn't have him chase after her friend and sabotaging it to begin with. Also, the reasons she stated in the beginning why she likes him is not enough. It's so superficial so of course he would have doubts of her sincerity. I'm on ep 7 and I feel this is all totally the FL issue not the ML. She can't abruptly say I like you and my friend is now married with no foundation and also to force a kiss on him. The issue about filming her book on the other hand, that's business so I'm ok if she needed to take it somewhere else. But I will say the drama is still watchable, just some scenes are not always reasonable.

The song was good and came at the right moments. I was just a bit surprised to hear English in a supposedly costume series since it's suppose to be ancient times.
