This is why I love my The Story of Yanxi Palace. What you do to her or someone she care about she ensures is done to you. It ain't no pretty ending for anyone that do her wrong. Loved it!!

My only issue is, I am sorry, but I wasnt forgiving the sisters or father. Family was split after this mess. Nearly killed me and my mother and I let that go? NO sah

I have been feeling it for a while but why is the FL such a mixed-up character. She appears intelligent but is so foolish. Episode 8 did it for me, she sees him and she going call out his name before she assesses? I am like are you kidding me!

As an update, I think the drama did a very good job of balancing corny, mystery, angst, and romance. Compared to others, it far exceeds.

This sounds like an interesting drama, but the FL I usually have issues with her if she doesn't fit the role. I am still deliberating if I should watch it.

Yea that was a good one. I have watched so many, I have lost count. 2020 they came out with a lot as well.

I do agree with Lu Si lack of versatility. I highlighted this fact in a prior drama she was in and a fan like, no she switches it up, I am like no she doesn't. I think it was Tiger and Rose. I don't believe in typecasting, but some actors that lack versatility/range should either get better or stay in their type of role. It is sad when one individual can change the tide of a show.

I am a bit torn after watching the final episode. So many unanswered questions.

I think their brains are turned off many times throughout this drama. So maybe that means the writer/author's brain was turned off with writing it. I trying to determine if I got a headache from watching this. As I refused to drop.

This was one drama that deserves its rating. The lead's chemistry was so strong, if they are not a couple in real life, I am not sure what to think about life anymore. The acting was superb. There is a bit of fluff which isn't usually my flavour, but FL's did well to not make it cringy. I can't recall last time I gave a drama an 8 rating. If it had tied up all the loose ends it would have been an 8.5. Great Job Team!

I completely agree. Do you know what its like to seriously doubt your intelligence after watching such horrid script. I am on Ep 20 and thank heavens for the skip option. Or This would have been dropped long ago. The writers must be seriously foolish to have such a reflection for this foolish female lead. Even the cute moments cant hold back my disappointment at this atrocity. I think its rated a bit high though. This should be rated around 6.2. I am really curious if Chinese citizens like such dramas. This female lead is everything I despise in one. Its rare I find all types of stupid in one character.

Agreed, I think she means it. I am upset about him dying thou. It did fit the storyline. However, after watching this many times. I wonder who are the parents of Yung Chang. The empress dowager protected him, so I feel its related to her.

Encase Hime will view this post, please note the FLs character has book sense but no common sense. I am highly annoyed with the characterization of the female lead. I am like writers can you give her an ounce of common sense. Just an ounce.

But it has good parts and sweet moments.
