I agree with this. I've seen some really nasty comments and I don't think people realise how small their budget…
I'm also annoyed by the negative and condescending comments too from other BL watchers mainly Fujoshis who just want to tear down a small production like this trying to tell their queer stories. One even dare to ask me whats the difference between BL and Queer story. Imagine me trying to explain my sexuality to them? They just want to pick a fight for no reason.

I don't understand what you mean by "this is not a Bl series it is a queer series". What's the difference?I mean…
There is a difference between BL and Queer story. I'm pretty sure you know the difference.
As a queer guy, I can see it. BL target mainly female audiences fujoshis etc, queer story target gay audiences.
Gay story focus on sexual orientation of the characters, gay issues and gay struggles.
BLs usually don't focus on these, they focus on two handsome guys falling in love like a romantic comedy, serving a mainly heterosexual female audience.

I'm hoping Kevin makes the right choice and leaves his toxic wife, who apparently MAME'd him back in the day and resulted in a child. Archie doesn't deserved to the third party here. But is Kevin willing to lose everything? I mean you can't really force someone to love you if he already loved someone else. She deserves Karma and I hope she gets it next episode.

Damien needs to appreciate Hayden more. I know grief is grief but I hope he realizes Hayden's unconditional love for him too. They look so adorable together. I want a Happy Ending for this couple!

As for the heterosexual couple from the beginning, I almost forgotten their story. Who are they again?

Visually, this series is quite beautiful. The acting here from Kevin and Archie's story is also touching and heartbreaking.

Judging from most queer productions in queer film history, I do not expect a Happy Ending for this series. Afterall, this is not a BL series, this is a queer series.

And please don’t ask me what is the difference between BL and Queer story. It is really condescending and downright disrespectful question to even ask this.

This episode seems to be directed, written and edited by an AI. I'm so confused by the change of artistic direction and character deterioration of Ashi and Punn. I don't really know what Ashi wants really in Punn now. Suddenly he decides to neglect Punn after all the words he said to him last episode? Words are really cheap huh? So weird. It's like they suddenly want to introduce some conflict in their relationship just for fun. And now Punn's being blackmailed by Sompriao. If I were Punn I will go straight to Wan and tell her everything!
As for Ming and Nam, I need a proper storyline not a random sex scene here and there. It's hot but i hope Bosston and Jo have the opportunity to show us this relationship fully too. Bosston and Jo have the potential to be next hot BL couple and I think they should just show us everything in this show.

JiangChi is such a sweet boyfriend. He really wants to understand what's bothering BuXia and will try to do all he can to fulfil his needs. Such a caring BF! BuXia must learn to let go of whatever issues he's having with himself and just embrace the romance with JiangChi. JiangChi accepts him for who he is and such a guy is very hard to find.
I hope next episode we will see some sensual romantic scenes. I really felt a bit touched when BuXia's sister was explaining BuXia's challenges. Fantastic acting and chemistry between these two leads! I hope they stop arguing soon and start loving each other more!

I don’t care about the special effects because the acting here is just so comfortable to watch! Film and Jam can be so tender and romantic together and just love to watch their scenes. I just love the pace of this show now and just can’t believe it’s gonna end soon! 😭

So pacing issues was mentioned earlier and since I have time, I rewatched the cut version. I think if you are impatient, you should watch the cut version first and then the uncut version when you have time to waste. Gonna start reading the English sub novel cos I need to find out who the moustache merman is actually.

Finally! We get to experience the hype and I must say, the acting here is just stunning! I'm emotionally drawn into the character of Jom. My heart breaks for him, losing his partner Ohm to a pregnant fiancée.

What's up with the fiancée stories in recent BL shows? Wedding Plan, Jun & Jun and now this?
I'm getting annoyed with this storyline but I guessed it's based on a BL novel written by a female so I guess I have to settle with that. As a Queer guy, it's one of the compromises I have to deal with when I try to find and consume queer content in entertainment and since this is a BL written for fujoshis anyway. Better than nothing I say.

But my heart breaks for Jom again. Almost getting attempted MAME'd by another clubber in the carpark and saved by his puke, we see him drink driving and self-disrupt into the Chao Phraya river where he was saved by Moustache Merman Yai and ends up in old ChiangMai town and found by Ming. And then on the boat back to Ming’s place they both fell again into the river, at this point I expected them to travel back to current but nope, he is rescued by Yai (again?).

One critical note is that I’m watching the uncut version on YouTube so some parts of the episode seemed slow especially the part when Jom was exploring Old ChiangMai town. Hopefully the pace picks up next week! 🤞

Now I gotta go read up the English novel since I cannot wait for next week.

This is giving me F4 Boys Over Flowers vibes with the bullying plot. And the acting is better than another current BL series airing after this, so I’m very glad to be entertained by Perth and Chimon’s spectacular chemistry too. I can just enjoy their characters without worrying about acting skills. They have the chops to be leading characters in their own shows and bringing them together is such a genius idea! I’m so looking forward to next week’s episode. I have a feeling this is gonna be a classic good GMMTV BL series! Amazing start!

So I guess theres 3 more episodes left and still no proper story?
A confusing flashback start and add in a couple of characters that I wouldn't care really, and that annoying fiancée giving me MAME's Wedding Plan teas.
What is happening really?
What kind of story are you trying to tell us, scriptwriter?
That Lee Jun has 3 guys interested in him?
What does Choi Jun want anyway in Lee Jun anyway?
Dude, you're Chaebol-engaged so that really can't change right?
Or either just leave Lee Jun alone and let him be chased by the other 2 guys as he so deserved.
No gays would want to be caught as the 3rd party 'homewrecker' role thank you very much.
This is 2023, we have choices and many guys to date.

Exactly! I don’t understand why so many people are hating the sponsor especially in every drama there’s sponsors…
Yup!!! The fact that they are taking the effort for it to be incorporated into the story so I don't see the reason to hate on these sponsors, It's just so ridiculous at this point some of these comments are. I find the plot so refreshing as it's very relevant to many queer people this arranged marriage thing. Plus McD is like so common, so I felt rather realistic to see them in these settings.

i'm actually fine with the mcd scenes?? they're a sponsor and plus i'm pretty sure it's become a special concept…
Exactly! I don’t understand why so many people are hating the sponsor especially in every drama there’s sponsors anyway so many GMMTV shows have sponsors but I don’t see them complaining. So weird and in fact when I saw the takeaway McD bag it sort of relates to me too. So real life. McD’s like a common place for dating too in real life. These haters are just silly at this point to even hate on the sponsor.

I must say Pak's acting is really impressive for a newbie. He probably did a lot of acting training because there's no way you're telling me that this is his first main series? It's giving me so much emotional depth for a gay guy being caught in another messy situation like an arranged marriage of another guy like Lom. I just watched the BTS for this episode on their Youtube channel and Pak thought he did a bad job with the emotional scenes but MAME and the other lady director were so patient and kind to guide him set his emotions right for the scene. I must say, it's nice to see these ladies helping to develop the next generation of BL actors with such compassion and kindness. Best BL Newcomer of the year for him!

The trip to Chiang Mai is a nice change of scenery for Nuea. I'm glad he had some quality time with his mother. Of course he is going home so he wouldn't need to bring such stuff? I mean it's just a regional vacay anyway. Why are we even nick-picking this? This is not a documentary right?

I'm glad Nuea's got such a supportive caring mom. And I'm glad his mates were there to cheer him up during his stay in Chiang Mai.

I don't get the hate some of you have even for the sponsors? It's quite normal for any dramas to have sponsor ads in the show. It's won't be a Thai BL if we don't have our sponsors. Most GMMTV BLs also have sponsors in their shows but I don't see some of the GMMTV fangirls complaining about it? Why the double standards? They have Texas Chicken there too? Some even had live stream advertising promo with KFC? So why specifically only hate the sponsor for this show then?

This episode reminded me of my multiple trips to Chiang Mai too. Such a beautiful place and of course there are McDonald's restaurants there. In fact, I did went to the Chiang Mai Night Bazarre's outlet a few times too since they are open till late I think they are open for like 24 hours like most Asian McD's. I was there for McD's breakfast and they do have Thai menu specifically for McD's like chicken congee. Gotta love Asian McD. They always have special delicious menu.
So, it's a very nice and encouraging to see big corporation like McDonald's supporting this BL. One can only hope more of these BL shows gets made which means more visibility for queer issues.

As for our lesbians, I do hope Yiwa and Marine sort out their situation too. Especially now we know this is all Yiwa's idea. Marine deserves to be treated the right way too and not be caught in this kind of lie.
I get Nuea's POV as a gay guy myself, I did date a guy who had to suddenly tell me that he has to get married one day.
Nobody likes to be sidelined like that. Nuea didn't even deserved to be caught up in this situation.
Also, I hope Lom really sort his silly arrangement with Yiwa because if I were Nuea, I would never want to be caught in this mess.
Fun fact: The music's kinda similar to 'Step By Step'. They used Adelyn Paik's "Can you Hear My Heart" in one of the scene in 'Step By Step' too.

As a Queer guy watching this, I have no problem visiting this story week after week, this is a nice distraction for me at night to unwind and watch. I appreciate the effort they put in to produce this Queer drama, as someone from the film industry myself, I already know it's already very difficult to find funding etc to put in a production together.

But I’m annoyed with the unkind negative comments from some of you BL fangirls.

Y’all really like to come for smaller production and try to bring them down? They probably didn't make much from this production anyway so why hate on these smaller productions?

Splitting it into small episodes on Youtube would probably served as a practical way for them to earn some ad money and maintain a weekly presence. I don't really mind the wait as it's kinda rare to see Hong Kong gay stories these days.

As for the story this week, I supposed the school scenes kinda reminded me of my school days and with social media now, I can't imagine the stress that closeted kids have to go through in school. Especially with peer pressure around.

I'm kinda scared this story here is a bit like my own story back in school days!
I did encountered an evil girl too back in school, who had done several despicable things to me and another boycrush. She basically inserted herself into OUR narrative and ends up ruining my friendship with that guy. But that's another story, another time. Yes there are evil people everywhere, including evil girls! Hence, seeing this trope appear in many BL series, I always get a bit reflective especially when it comes to my own lived experiences.

If you are impatient you can skip this and wait for them to finish the whole series online. But as a queer guy, I am gonna support this independent release week after week.

Ja and First have such a beautiful chemistry and this is the most endearing characters for them! Their acting is just so natural and yet subtle. I just hope this will not be the last project for them because they do really have a winning formula in their ship. The plot is nothing much at this point so I’m just relaxing and indulging myself on the romantic vibes of this couple. So romantic and brought back some memories of young queer love in Ep7. Bubble bath moment was so adorable! Ashi telling Pun's family is such a beautiful scene. Let's hope more families are as accepting as this lovely family.

Ok so I just finished this show unfortunately which means I will be missing the two leads here. They have so much chemistry! The way they looked at each other in the eyes, the tears they shed and shared with each other? The confessions, tight hugs and kisses? C'mon! And they did not overact like most BL actors are prone to do. Nuanced and very natural acting in their performance!

In the stillness of love, when they are sharing quiet moments together, it's just so romantic and realistic. Since there are so many different genres of BL shows and if you want to experience romance and unconditional young love, this is for you.

Those who don't get the hype, should just put down their phones for once and just focus on the performances of these actors. I get the hype and so did many other longtime BL watchers. Hoping to see more projects from these two Korean actors. This is gonna be one of those class Korean BLs that I would revisit again, much like 'Semantic Error'.
I suspect there might be a movie version in the future? Lettuce Pray!

Before watching this, I was thinking this is gonna be like the GMMTV 'He's Coming To Me' vibes throughout the film. Indeed it is! With some of the similar plots like helping to solve the mystery of the death.
The CGI was kinda cartoony and the homophobic and gay stereotypes were everywhere with the Jolin Tsai songs used in comedic moments.
I actually guessed who was the mole of the show earlier because of Wu's misogynistic comments to another co-worker.
If you are looking for pure BL elements here, you can forget about it. It's more like a classic and literally buddy cop film. Except this time, the buddy is the ghost. It was really eye opening and interesting to see how a ghost wedding is like tho.
And this was surprisingly touching film similar to the feels I got after watching 'He's Coming To Me' during the reincarnation crossover scenes. I really felt so touched in that moment. Maybe there was some kind of feelings develop between them but not the romantic sense. More of a brotherly type of love since Wu is now including Mao's family in his life because he helped to solve the mystery.
