Hahaha I just realised it's kinda hilarious imagining how in literally the span of around 10 years, SiKong and ChangHe would age and look like an uncle, I wonder why though, because it seems like LiHanYi doesn't age at all. Maybe it's the stress lmao
Just saw this after watching ep9, and honestly, I find it so interesting that I've always thought SMY as the idealistic…
Ohh that is so interesting! Looking forward to seeing how that goes. Perhaps TBOY is them in a sadder au then hahahaha, but is the author actually writing a s2 for Blood River??
❤️To future viewers — if you’re hesitating because of the low ratings on MDL, I want to tell you that…
Just saw this after watching ep9, and honestly, I find it so interesting that I've always thought SMY as the idealistic one, but it's actually always been SCH who's the most idealistic.
SMY was right when he said he understood SCH best, and knew his ambition would bring ruin to many people. This was clear in TBOY, their end was tragic, and what SMY said really came true. I'm not sure what exactly transpired between the period in ep9 to TBOY which made SCH turn out like that, but I'm sure it has something to do with his wild ambitions. So I do think TBOY is a fitting end for them actually. (of course this is prefacing the fact that I haven't even watched the rest of the series so I don't know how their characters will grow)
I really love SMY and SCH, and the acting is spectacular!! It actually took me a while to even recognise that it was GongJun (last I saw him was in WoH), a total 180 from his role in WoH, and he managed to pull it off really well! And HuaSen oh wow, I've always liked his acting, but have only ever seen him in side character roles (most recently in WoF), him as SCH is just the best casting decision ever
Also, what's up with Bao Bao and Chulan trying to keep Wang Ye from competing? If it's supposed to be a funny…
I think that's exactly my issue, I feel like there's something people really like about this series, but I just can't find it. It could potentially be because they explain a lot about the power they use, which I don't actually find particularly interesting, but I can see how people might like it.
I did end up finishing the entire series, but was skipping through it unfortunately. I didn't really love our main characters nor find them relatable, I did love Neo's role though, he saved the show imo.
I also agree with your point on BaoBao/ChuLan trying to bury his competitors. I do appreciate the humour running throughout the series, sometimes it succeeds in being funny, but most of the time, I guess I just don't really appreciate the extent of shamelessness of ChuLan (which again I understand is what forms his unique character).
Lemme say... Neo stole the spotlight. Even tho he wasn't shown THAT much, his role feels more like a ML role to…
I completely agree, I see so many comments and good reviews so I had really really high expectations for this, but somehow I'm just not really enjoying it? I can't even pinpoint why exactly, but I stayed for Neo (and ZhuGe Qing)
HeiHua dynamic was literally so so so good in Ultimate Note, along with the dynamic between our iconic trio, which…
Good thing you mentioned TLT2 though, because when I watched it back then I don't think I really appreciated it enough, especially since I didn't know Neo and ChengYi then (and Allen's cameo), gonna give it a rewatch
Kinda complicated ngl. In the drama only his disappearance is shown and nothing further concrete but I think in…
Hahaha ur not the only one, I watch series from this franchise mainly for the chemistry between the leads and the tomb raiding action, not for the plot, because frankly I have no idea what's going on
I watched quite a few series from this franchise, but never really understood the overarching plot, as in I watched it purely for the tomb raiding and the bromance. But I'm curious, can someone tell me what's going to happen to HYJ? It doesn't seem like he has a life-threatening disease, but from what I can tell the gradual lost of his eyesight basically means he's dying.
Also what message did HJY send to WuXie? And why were they in Russia at the end?
HeiHua dynamic was literally so so so good in Ultimate Note, along with the dynamic between our iconic trio, which is why that one will always be my fave
