Finished it, yet still never understood why YJH was obsessed with WSG from the very start .. also out of curiosity, the makeout scene in ep4 was just WSG's dream right?
Friendly Rivalry is the best drama I’ve ever watched…period. The tension, the mind games, and the emotional…
Yeah the chemistry is good, but honestly it's like every single episode is literally WSG landing her ass into trouble and YJI saving her ass, even i feel bad for YJI at this point
Another thing I found weird - so our smart girl YJI was able to guess immediately the password of the phone being 100713, but then this begs the question: WSL has been trying out the password, presumably in chronological order, and from previous episode she has gotten to 6xxxxx. Unless she randomly decided to guess the password starting from the number 6, how did she miss the correct password
The students are basically all drug addicts at this point, also the doctor dad is literally downright evil incarnate. I'm also confused about WSG's dad, is he really sexually harassing students? It didn't seem like he initiated it, but then again, he had set up his phone to record it which is hella suspicious
So i'm kinda curious, i'm at ep6, so maybe this will be revealed later, but will they ever explain why exactly YJI is so obsessed with WSG? I'm also slightly confused as to the main plot of the story, is there one?
The whole thing about her being abandoned at the beach as a child and just going missing for years didn't really make sense to me. Even if the teachers didn't realise they left her behind, surely the parents would ask the school where she is, and they would know that her class went on a beach trip. Surely they would be able to find her if they just went to the same beach. It's not like the parents never tried looking for her since they made the whole 'lost child' poster, so why exactly was it so difficult to find her??
waiting for s2 since i finished this drama in 2022😭 dashing youth was good, but i prefer this one.
So agreed, i gave DY a 7 and this a 10, i just thought a lot of DY's story really hinged on TBOY. It would've been super draggy and slightly boring even if I hadn't watched TBOY beforehand
I'm still watching it but feeling like I'm missing something.... This is my first Wuxia drama so is a bit confusing....…
Yes haha thats the thing with wuxia series, lots of characters and places and martial arts names. Rewatching would definitely help, but youll get a hang of the names soon
Such a great drama , I really liked xiao se and lei wu jie character and acting I can watch them all day ..fight…
Yeah i love our 3 main characters sm too! And also yeah the romance really is lacking haha, seems like author just doesnt do romance as well as bromance, as evident in Dashing Youth too
I've always been hesitant to watch this cuz the plot seems cliched, but I just listened to the ost and now I kinda wanna watch it just so I can listen to it
you mentioned that Ruofeng never explained why he supported Ruojin, actually he did, and I think he genuinely believes that Ruojin deserves to be Emperor and not himself. He has explained in one episode to the Ye general why he does not want to become Emperor:
1. Ruojin learned the ways of becoming an emperor since he was young 2. Ruofeng thinks himself too empathetic to be a good emperor, something which Ruojin is not since the whole kneeling in the snow for the medic to heal Ruofeng incident 3. Ruojin wants to become emperor while Ruofeng has his heart in the wulin world, he would not rule well as the emperor
Also you're so right I love WuXin so much more after watching this, even though I already love him so much before haha. I do wonder, especially now knowing BLDJ and YDZ were so close, why do we not see more interactions between BLDJ and WX? Was BLDJ avoiding him? What exactly happened to BLDJ between TBOY and DY? I feel that there is a huge chunk of the plot missing
