i know big height differences are really cute, but i think its actually so much better here where they can mess around with each other like same aged friends, and they can talk comfortably to each other without straining their necks and see each other like partners in crime (course he's still taller and at a perfect height to put his arm around her) but yes. he cant really drag her or carry her around liek a child like you sometimes see in kdramas, theyre in it together

i actually agree even tho i enjoy this show, its not that i hate the fl. i just feel nothing for her. why? because she doesnt have much character depth other than being strangely ok with all the awful things vincenzo does despite being a civillian her whole life. its like watching tom and jerry where they hit each other with bats and it looks like a joke on animation, but if someone actually swung a bat at someones head in real life, itd be a really gruesome thing to watch. i dont really know what im trying to say, but i feel they still couldve made it comedic but in a different way. the way her character is written makes her seem like not a real person. shes meant to the be the "crazy female" but theyve taken the human part out of her. some characters i think that pull off the "batshit crazy female" are like... the sister in cheese in teh trap played by lee sungkyung . holy... she was a complete bitch and also fcking insane (like in a way thats written well and not forced) but she was also human. Also if we're going for less crazy, and more "eccentric" vibes, the FL in "into the ring" is literally the best 'weird' fl ive ever seen (the first eps of vincenzo actually reminded me of her). i think the fl could just be... written better, and be less comicbook tragedy and more real. no hate on the actress tho, i absolutely loved her in be melodramatic which is the most underated show in all of kdrama lol

thats so true. i always thought, why are they dressing this handsome man like this, like bruh, thats not flattering. but it emphasises how hes pretty much got his brother's hand around his neck at all time and he can never be relaxed or anything

yeah same XD on one hand it sucks, on the other, if theyre doing this to make a really high quality last couple episodes when all of his past is brought up and the real fight begins, well, i guess im ok with that.

its a pretty high quality ceo/secretary contract marriage type story. if youve seen alot of these you might find it too cliche, but if you havent, i think youd enjoy it.

okay i will praise this drama for one thing, which is the reason ive kept watchin this even tho ive seen so many similiar shows. its because they did something different in the beginning. the first ep waas so cliche it wasnt even funny, but in the 2nd ep. the mom showed up, saw what her son was up to and wa slike "oh hell no, you cant just marry someone cause of some stupid will" which has never happened in any contract marriage show ive ever seen. then she tells him to help with her debts if he wants to "look after her" like his dad wanted, which is honestly how any normal person would think of helping someone out. so he decides to do that and tells her the deals off.. but she comes to him after a desperate situation and says she'll marry him if he pays off her debt.... now., he dosent have to be in this fake engagement, hed already decided he'd just help her with money, but something makes him agree anyway. and i thouht that was interesting XD
did he like her already? why is he agreeing to this situation that doesnt benefit him at all.

anyway, the rest of the show is really well produced but also really cliche. im kind of stickign around to see if they do anything else unique haha

i mean the man literally had a gun to his head (it was fake in the end but you know) and vincenzo just did some karate shit and took it from him XD vincenzo is not afraid of jo youngwoon and plays along with him. hes on the same level as the gangsters that run teh hot air balloon company XD vincenzo has mmuch more powerful people to fear

a different opinion that is sort of similiar, but i genuinely think vincenzo just does not care about jo youngwoon lol. like he doesnt see him as a threat at all so even if he knows hes not telling the truth or whatever, he knows he can handle him easily.

luckily cause of that episode limit thing there are more and more cdramas being produced at like 24 or 30 eps and historical dramas arent like 90 or 70 eps anymore. so its a start XD

okay ive only just started this (so who knows what will happen) but an interesting thing about the pairing is the fl is the muscle and the ml is the brains. haha, what an interesting reversal (i doubt it'll stay like that) shes not that smart but good at kungfu, he has 0 kungfu but is very smart. haha, he tells her what to do and she saves him from danger XD

yess my poor child. and when he wasnt under all the pressure, he could actually be the young boy he was with her and not this cold-hearted monarch. oh so tragic lol. my heart hahaha.

sadly, there was no other plausable ending. i felt the prince's guilt in my heart. i never thought he was a bad guy, he just was stuck in bad situation and had to make decisions for his country. sigh, anyway. i cry XD

lol, Held in the Lonely Castle (its other name). im like an advocate for that drama lol. people either hate it or love it because its very slice of life so i always reccomend just watching the princess's and eunuch scenes to people if theyre not into that. i dunno, ive watched alot of cdramas, but ive never seen one where a ML is an eunuch. the love story is a disaster before it even starts if you think about it XD anyway, if you like palace life and stuff, its a REALLY high budge show lol and i think youd like it. it should be more popular imo....

yes thankyou. haunting is perfect. it lingered in my mind for so long. all the whispered dialogue and the subtle emotions. such heartbreaking moments occuring in the most tranquil of settings. everything is calm and beautiful but all the people are so desperate and sad. to be less poetic: all the feels lol.

lol why is the poster so ugly when its literally the most expensive and beautifully shot drama ive ever seen. seriously, aesthetics on point. my eyes are blessed lol

while i think there are some filler moments (which is what skip button is for lol) honestly teh cinemtography and acting is on point and really pretty. the interesting points of this story: the love story between the princess and her eunuch (pretty much as forbidden love as it can get) this happens a bit later in the story. and imo the king and the queens love story (theyre both very stubborn people) so yeah, thats my take.

no for real for real. other tragdic endings they just jump off a cliff at the end for no reason. goodbye princess had a valid reason because she lost everyone she loved, the man she loved she could never forgive, and killing herself would save her country, so it was one of those "duties as a princess" that makes your heart ache inside. ACTUALLY, there was one other drama i liked like this. Serenade of Peacful joy. it had a love story between a princess and a eunuch and it also gave me that gross empty feeling like goodbye my princess.
