i went from watching the imperial coroner to this XD everyone in this show is so dumb in comparison its actually so funny (yes i am aware the difference between a silly romcom lakorn and a serious detective show and realise theyre for completely different purposes of entertainment) the contrast is just hilarious to me

oh thanks for saying that. i kind of cant stand lakorn either, but if i like a couple i will watch it even if i hate literally everything about the show HAHA

ahh okay XD still, at this point its got an 8.3 rating so guess its actually good lol

actually, the emporer was super charismatic imo. every time i watch a cdrama set in this era, i dont know if its just the decor or fashion at that time, but everything is very dark and regal looking, it makes the royals look very intimidating and powerful. i also enjoyed the main couple as they were pretty unique in the way they interacted.

WHAT i saw a clip of this on youtube and thoguht the actor was really charismatic, and i thought his face reminds me a bit of Lai Guanlin, WTH it IS him. omg, he's gotten so much more mature than last time i saw him??? wow. his acting has improved ALOT. im so impressed lol. people have said the beginning of teh show his acting was still a little awkward, but the clip i watched was from the ending, so at the pace he's improving. wow, i anticpiate his future. he gives me jung haein vibes, if he was really cheeky or something XD lol, i still cant believe thats him hahahaha, brain explosion.

yeah there wasnt really apoint to showing different timelines, it wouldve worked if theyd gotten together AFTER theyd shown their "breakup" in the past, but they got together in like ep 20 and then only showed their "breakup" in later episodes, which you dont end up caring about because you know they'll get together XD

haha, i actually think he's just very tall and naturally skinny but you can see he's fit so it's not like he's unhealthy. i kind of appreciated it because real boys in that 15-17 age are usually really scrawny because they grow taller first before filling out. its more realistic than him having that more muscular build of a guy in his mid-twenties that you often see. dont know how old the actor is, but he looks like he's 17

this! its funny cause 'shut up' isnt even a swear word or even considered that bad, but if you thinkn about it, literally no one would say that to anyone cause its so rude XD you'd only use it if you were already in an argument or something idk, its so rare to here hahaha

i always wonder this. well first of all, you don't even need to disinfect such a tiny scratch but second of all, how can you buy NEW disinfectant each time. real people buy some maybe once in their lifetime, and its probably expired because its one your mom bought in like 2009 hahaha but you'll still use it

same same, which is why i mostly watch cdramas cause theres far less "plot" LOL, which is sometimes a good thing (and then sometimes a bad thing) it's really hard to find a decent quality cdrama cause about 5 in 6 will just be awful XD but yeah, ive still managed to find some nice ones. i saw the chinese movie for SIMAAF so i dont know if i wanna watch its drama version. if what you say is true and no one wanted it, then im also concerned XD ive heard it was made in like 2018 too so the quality and acting ive heard isnt as good. Maybe you've seen them already but the latest three dramas id actually reccomend to anyone is "you are my hero" (doctor/policeman), "lovely us"(highschool) and "my little happiness"(workplace, the beginning of this annoyed me tho) butyeah, so hard to find something fluffy to watch thats actual good quality lol

yeah, i guess now that i think of it, Run On isn't a true rom-com anyway, it was more slice-of-lifey, which i completely binged through once it was completed cause i loved the vibe and chemistry. i think if you watched it in real-time i can see how theres not that much motivation to see the next ep XD i think it's really hard to come up with an original mainly rom-com story so they always fall into being too cliche or too boring. i also think its okay to not be okay was the best romance kdrama i watched last and that was agesss ago XD lets pray for a brand new amazing show to arrive XD

so true with the cgi, i guess they could make a movie and go to italy or something lol (not that thts happening anytime soon LOL) but a comic has limitless freedom so itd be pretty cool. honestly, yes, the most hilarious part of this show is that for the most part, it features this scary mafia guy doing everyday life stuff (which is mostly talking on a bench somewhere drinking coffee with the woman he likes lol) it was the best part of the show imo.

id be fine with the ending not being the balloon ride if they hadnt hinted at it so much, but i guess thats what happens when youre writing it as it airs.

Yeah, this drama is already a "hit" regardless if it has a bad story because it has an epic mafia setting, A list actor as the lead and a big budget. i guess im like you and cant consider it a "great" drama because the script is very important to me and as entertaining as some parts of it were, i cant put it up there when it's foundations are just weak. and id be more ok with it if it was a B grade cast, low budget project, but NO. you literally have the best actors and all the money. what is stopping you from making sure the script is good.
(actually me theory to this is that sometimes kdrama productions use all their resources getting really expensive actors onboard but then have no money left for everything else. and i think it must be true because how many star-studded kdramas are out there that everyone expects to be amazing like "wow, this is starrin so-and-so AND so-and-so it cant NOT be amazing. and then its literally the worst most boring, show ever)

yeah, i actually really liked all their conversations too because they were natural and how real people would talk. (like debating over dumb things about the fish bread, or speaking italian) so i think they did a good job of adding real 'slice of life' parts to the show. If vincenzo flew back to korea on a flock of pigeons i think id actually lose it XD but that reminds me.... i really thought hed escape at the end on an air balloon the gangster guy offered.... that totally shouldve happened.

im cool with a comic book too, or better yet, a short origins drama maybe a couple episodes long (cause id honestly like to see song joongki in it as opposed to a drawing)

but yeah, dont get me wrong, i still enjoyed this show, i just feel like if theyd changed some things, itd go down as the biggest show this year

i am confusion. the cinematography in the first ep is soooo pretty. the fl character is likeable, i love the actress. what the hell is this script. is the ml sane. why is he so good at comedic timing tho? why is the writing so bad but the jokes so good? why is their chemistry so good despite the godawful way the ml is approaching her. again, why are the jokes in this so funny. ok, who actually wrote this. why are some of their conversations actual top tier drama dialogue? omg this is so cliche, ok but he ml can act really well. none of this is consentual XD i really dont know what to do with this show........

yeah, i saw him in a previous drama and thought his acting could be better, but here. wow. its so hard to play a psychopath too. but he did it so well
