baby brother is the fav. hes best boi. mvp and deserves everything.

firstly i like how both main characters are essentially "trapped" in different ways. Also, I lowkey get a Story of Minglan vibe of their relationship, where the ml actually likes her but is too proud to say it and kind of craves her affection but is in no way ever going to say it outloud because 1. hes a prince and 2. theyre both very stubborn (plus he knows she likes her senior)

I also get a Goodbye my Princess vibe because he does a lot of things behind the scene for her (like drinking 8 glasses of wine and pulling that guy on a horse) but then acts like a complete ass to her face (sometimes for neccessary situations, but cause of bad writing its also sometimes totally uncalled for)

I also like the discussion of social class. now when i first watched this show the writing is so bad that the way the ml would sometimes treat the fl would totally piss me off, like he is channelling the bossy ceo to the NEXT LEVEL and he needs to actually stop. but soon i caught on that this guy is an actual PRINCE and the way she's addressing him, talking to him, ignoring his orders, is completely unnacceptable, like you should be arrested, he can probably chop your head off holy moly how are you even talking to him like that. and i think its actually very interesting to see how he gets angry at her for breaking status quo (because he feels disrespected ) but also angry/flustered because he likes her and i think it is this that makes him seem totally bipolar and all over the place and extremely toxic (which is hella fun to see okay hahaha, his mental struggle). I love the weird struggle they both go through, of him liking someone so below his status. He actually lets soooooo much go. theres even a nice line he says (that i thought was weird at first cause subtitles(?) or just bad writing(?) but he pretty much says "leave then and find any other man. With that same attitude, you will be killed."

Also i really like the angst (because thats why we're here right) in the way he hates to love her. I think the best line in this whole show is when he says "did you know, i hate myself too. There are so many girl out there. why does it have to be you, the heartless and unfeeling xie xiaman" i be paraphrasing but yes. that was acted well. so nice.

Finally, the prince is seriously broken. like he has rage issues and im getting Boys over flower vibes. like, after his brother died, he obviously just lost it and needs to grieve properly or something and get it out his system. his reading partner/bestfriend guy just goes around making excuses to everyone and telling them his sob story (which also, why bad writing XD, his backstory pops up at such random times) which is not ok.

I like the fl, because teh actor is pretty unique and i'll just overlook the pathetic stuff she does because i like her motives. i like how she's doing everythign to buy her father's farm back and is for the most part a pretty selfless person. i felt bad for her when she found her senior liked another girl, especially as he kind of leads her on in later episodes.

omg. theres so much i hate in this show but also so much potential and interesting things in it. i guess im just dissapointed because if it was done better, all these things could be explored properly, but oh well XD i'll just settle. its still so entertaining LOL

a sigh.... ya know, i cant stop watching this because even tho the writing is bad, the idea was so good! its like inbetween the messy weird dialogue and misunderstandings im waiting out for those rare brilliant scenes that come with such an interesting set-up. some of my fav scenes below that make it all worthwhile LOL

this drama makes no sense but its hella entertaining XD anyone else cant stop watching? i guess i finally see the appeal in crazy overdramatic dailys or lakorns or wahtever XD its so bad but its so good LOL

are there subtitles for the 12 episodes that are currently out or do they update subtitles at different times?

could i ask if vip has subtitles? i kind of wanna get it but theres no point if the vip episodes arent subtitled

this drama is so cozy and warm. i love all the characters and the family and i love the down-time moments of them just hanging out at the mansion. i also really enjoy that the two leads have a genuine friendship and have lots of fun together. sometimes the romance in cdramas is done superficially with a lot of fairylights and balloons and "events" when what it should really be about is the characters interacting and getting along. its nice to find a sweet ML too

its so sad how he was talking big but when she arrived he still called her beautiful at the end. i reallllllly like every conversation in this show. so many insightful things they say to each other. like when xing yue told qin shu that "she's calling you because she wants to talk to you" and he said back "sometimes people dont call you beccause they want to talk to you" (paraphrasing here lol). i love xing yues untainted thinking vs the way normal people perceive things"

ok, the dialogue in this show is very well-written. its not just filler and well-thoguht out. i loved Qin Shu's speech when he was drunk

ok, this show is actually hilarious and the voice acting of ML is 80% of it. so funny XD not to mention the spot-on acting by FL. she's really talented, cant believe i hated her in a previous drama... guess the script really breaks or makes actors

wow the male lead actually has a personality instead of being a rock with no facial expressions. i almost forgot men were real people for a second and not robots after watching too many ceo dramas. this drama brought me back to reality XD

SPOILER NOT FOR THIS SHOW:
trust me, when haruhi and tamaki accidentally kissed after like 300 chapters of the Ouran Host club manga, it was honestly the craziest thing.

sigh. you know, as an avid rom-com fan, taking away stupid moments where they accidentally kiss or trip into each others arms would just take out all the fun. i just wish they'd write them AFTER the characters get to know each other. that's what makes it exciting/awkward/heart fluttering. like if they kiss in ep 1, 5 minutes into the intro. what am i supposed to feel? i dont even know these characters, and they dont know each other either.

the actor near the end showed how charismatic and playful he can be. id like to see him in a cheeky boy-next-door type of role whos always joking around, that kind of vibe

ive seen too many dramas to care about the whole show and irrelevant side stories LOL
