lol. i love the second female lead XD everytime she gets into trouble she always goes "fine. ill just killl myself then" *weird choking noises* it gets funnier everytime she does it XD
how dare they give him such a crippling disease at the end. i actually cannot. he deserves better. at least he…
i know! what kind of reveal. they hped it up for sooo long, i was waiting for all the drama, for all the conversations. i wanted her to not believe it because the two were so different. he also could finally be his true self now that the games are over. we know his real self is more like the hero, and he only plays a fool. his real personality is much more calm. i wonder if they couldve fought about that.... becausse its like you dont even know who your lover is BUT WHAT. they just took out the reveal. it wasnt even talked about. WTFFFFFFF. its like... its like... watching finding nemo and never finding out if he finds nemo. its like... missing the whole point of the show XD its so dumb
well i finally finished this. guess i grew a bit attatched to the characters because i felt quite sad when it…
oh! also. a final beautiful scene appeared. the prince walking all haggard and sleep exhausted back home down that forest road where everything is all peaceful and sunlit. It's such a strange feeling because a second ago he was in the dark imperial palace, with the emporer and all the dead bodies and the huge fight. but xiaoman is waitin for him on a log with her eyes closed in the pretty nature, and its just a huge symbol of peace restored in his life and you can see it on his face when he notices her. ugh. who............ who who made all these talented producers work with such an awful script XD im sorry, but its almost criminal, the difference in quality between the production and the script. hahha
well i finally finished this. guess i grew a bit attatched to the characters because i felt quite sad when it ended. well i liked the ML's character from the beginning so i guess i was always rooting for him. some impressive acting of the ML in the last coupld episodes. theres something elegant in the way he presents himself (even in a fit of rage with messy hair and blood all over him) that convinces me he realy grew up as a prince. maybe it is his glowing white skin too that just screams ancient noble lol. anyway, i watched the drama for him pretty much.
I read on twitter that sxt's mention on her live how they cut the after wedding scene (there's even a photo of…
oh yeah, i like AvenueX. i saw her video on this but wanted to watched it after ive seen everything hahaha i am so glad it has such a high rating. i want all the actors to know how loved the series is haha (and the other staff of course)
wow. im so impressed and grateful the production team cared about making a good story and fought for everythings in every aspect to make it as good as possible. seriously, its so rare in crama land. maybe 1 in every 100 dramas that come out. I'd also like to think, that like you said, its not that most production companies dont care and only want the profit, but if its a larger production, there will definitely be pressure from investors, etc. to not take any risks, use popular tropes, popular actors, popular cinematography, anything that will get it attention, and not good attention (like imperial coroner ended up getting anyway) but the bad cheap attention of fanservice, pretty faces etc. its like trashy clickbait on youtube, that anyone can see the thumbnail and be interested, as opposed to well-written videos that get shared by word-of-mouth on how good it is and by reviews.
In a way, i'm glad this drama was able to fly under the radar, that it wasnt noticed by any investors that would want to switch actors or add things to the plot. and i hope if there is a season 2, that they understand why the show is popular, and dont do excessive things with a bigger budget and more attention.
i really, really loved this show. Even though i loved the detective parts and the story wasn't even about hte romance, really. i just loved the main couples interaction, especially their misunderstandings and how they were resolved and the way their feelings were explored (and talked about!) in those moments. with these high status/low status ships, its always about how the poor person feels too out of their league, but no one ever explores how the Prince would feel to be thought of as that shallow. I really liked how the Prince also talked about how hurt he felt when she accused him of using her/being insincere. The sort of "is that what you really think of me?" mindset that was running through his head. I feel that's rarely explored beause usually the character are selfish and suck XD so watching these situations playout of level-headed believable people was such a joy to watch.
of course the mystery plots were ON POINT. like YOUNG BLOOD on point lol. i even explained the way that guy stole money to buy the weapons using the soldiers lack of knowledge with counterfeit money and the double account books to my dad. i was like, "listen to this, isnt this a clever way to steal funds" LOL.

bruh i know. i saw articles and stuff about how this drama had zero tropes, zero hype, zero known actors but even in china its praised so well and blew up. sighhhh, its like, they dont think good writing will make a show popular when its far from the truth. most of the shows that gain attention are the ones that actually have DECENT writing, like joy of life for instance. everyone liked it because it had a solid script, but i guess thats not how these tv producer companies think. if its cliche and has lots of fanservice with idols in it, only then will they think the public will pay it any attention. its not fair because im sure at least half of drama watchers want to see QUALITY productions. it sucks they wont give shows like Imperial Coroner a chance. i hope to god theres a season 2 or a couple special episodes. i wanna see the whole gang together again hahaha

omggggggggg no. WHY haha. thank you for the link tho. why would they cut the wedding of all things XD i mean, dont even have an outro song or something instead LOL. i dont know XD the best scenes are always cut. it makes 0 sense hahaha
honestly this is a very good movie. usually dont like chinese movies, they always seem to have something missing, i really liked this tho. acting of the female lead is great too
He is suspicious of Eunuch Qin malicious intension but he also aware that Eunuch Qin may have powerful allies.…
yes agree. i also think it probs genuinely is a relaxing hobby for a stressed out monarch. just something he can do while he's thinking about stuff. alot of the emperors in shows have gardens to attend to or craft stuff they enjoy doing. i think it not only gives them time to think, but also makes them seem like they're not agitated or fully-involved and more overseeing everything from a distance.
Although I'm not ready to say goodbye to this fantastic project, I'll just say that this is easily the best written…
lol aw, i never thought about it like that but its true. theyre both nerds and thats why they get along so well. even using thier wedding as a trap cause they dont really care about that stuff. also when they're demonstrating the different murders (usually a time for the romance to start with all the holding and falling onto beds) but they literally dont care at all and are focused on solving the case. theyre very cute. even her little rib bone heart on the hankerchief XD hahhaa
36 episode still cliffhanger and I cannot imagine if the 24 episode only, it confirm will ruin all the storyline!!!
omg for real. itd be way too rushed. its sucks a story can't be told in how ever many eps it needs just because the pllatform likes releasing in 6s XD wtf. imagine if all novels had to be written in 200 pages or soemthing. it just KILLS creativity and good storytelling
does anyone have suggestions of dramas related to this one"The Imperial Coroner"?
I've fallen for you. same basic themes, sort of (but completely different genre, more comedy, romcom) if you want good quality detective show, Young Blood is the only one i can think of on Imperial Coroner's level (funnily enoguh, the fl plays in that show too lol)
i am so glad it has such a high rating. i want all the actors to know how loved the series is haha (and the other staff of course)

ahhh, i will miss this show.
