the only thing about this show that makes it illogical is how passive everyone is. i wouldve taken my son back…
lol yes omg, if anything, i feel like as minor he shouldnt get to make as many decisions as he did. if i was his mom i wouldn't let him anywhere near dakyoung, his dad at leas loves him and wouldn't actually have bad intentions (not saying he's attentive or anything lol, just that he wouldnt freaking manipulate him) so id let him interact with him but i dunno.... letting him stay in an unfamiliar house with DK with only occasional text messages to inform me of what's happening lol, i would've stormed the hosue in like ep 6 HAHHA

i agree and disagree. he is definitely a selfish and spoilt child and is almost all the time thinking about what…
yeah there was definitely some spite in his actions. overall though, he's really just a victim who's been traumatized and is acting unstable because he's a kid in a scary/confusing situation so i just feel really bad for him. you can tell he loves his mom deep down, like when he thought leaving was what she wanted so he didn't say anything about wanting to go back despite how much he was suffering, so it's not like he's completely heartless or anything. just a confused kid imo.

ep 24. anyone else think the main fl and her ex have really good chemistry. i think it's cause the actor is actually really good at acting like a caring boyfriend or something lol, he has such an innocent face too that you can't help but feel a bit sorry for (even tho he's a jerk lol, dont get me wrong, i ship the main leads) but yeah, i just feel like he didn't realise how happy he was with her till he went for power/money, dropped her, but then realised it wasn't worth it and that she's more important. i think he thinks he was unhappy with her because they were poor but in all of their flashbacks, he seems to be the one more in love. hmmm, what an idiot XD he obviously doesn't know what he wants

I would also say his attempts to push his mum away indicates he actually cares more for her than his dad. A lot…
lol, i wish he had more screen time too cause the adults are just rehashing their problems and idk i just find his story interesting. like, what happened to his sort-of-friend, that girl who also had divorced parents? he needs a friend TTT someone get him a friend LOL.

oh yeah i totally agree and think he's just the victim in all of this and saying he's completely out of the picture and watching from the sidelines isn't really true either as he's actually in the middle of everything and that's left him traumatised and clearly in need of help, thus all the bad things he's doing. I was just trying to say that for his more "unexplainable" actions, like why he's being SO hard on his mother or insists on staying with his dad might be because of something we don't know yet (whether it's because we just don't know how joonyoung thinks or whether he actually overheard something else idk). anyway, i don't understand why people hate on him so much either. he's just a kid. people can say that it doesn't matter and that him being young shouldn't be an excuse, but imo that's the only excuse that i'd let slide if someone did something wrong. adults are fully developed and any choices they make are on them, but kids aren't, they're going to f up, especially under joonyoungs conditions. if he doesn't get a happy ending next week i'll cry. lol

yes, and there's definitely more to him which is why everyone is very frustrated by him, because we don't understand his actions. but like every episode reveals, he actually knew more than what we thought. He's always the first to know everything because he's always in teh background (probs being forgotten becasue lets be real, his parents arent the best at prioritising him) so he's always hearing and seeing things he shouldn't because no one pays him too much attention. So he knew about his father's affair way before, knew his parents slept with each other that one night, knew DK wanted to send him away abroad, knew his father was only using him to see his mom, he's actually the one seeing everything and it's frustrating him that all the adults are then babying him, pretendidng like they're not doing all these bad things and then blaming him for everything at the end. if you think about it, joonyoung is like us, the viewers, he is the one that sees everything clearly, he's watching all the chaos from the outside and getting extremely frustrated by everyone's behaviours.

yeah i think so too. i hink his actions are more complicated than this but there's no doubt he was trying to sacrifice himself for his mom at some point

you know, I think joonyoung might be a bit scared of his father. Usually you talk back and yell at the parent who you're more comfortable with. He always dismisses his mother because he knows she won't ever stop loving him or leave him or hate him for it, but with his dad, he doesn't ever say no and just goes along with whatever makes his father happy. I think mostly it's because he's scared to lose his dad and their connection (his dad already dissapeared for 2 years plus has a new family to easily forget him with) but I also don't see how watching your father beat your mother doesn't make you a little terrified of him. Honestly ep 14 just proved my theory when his father was violent and slapped him and right after, joonyoung broke down whatever he was trying to achieve before and called for his mom.

Unpopular opinion about ep 14: Joon Young only said sorry because he had nowhere to go. He is not as genuine as…
i agree and disagree. he is definitely a selfish and spoilt child and is almost all the time thinking about what suits him best without too much concern on how his mom would feel. He was definitely trying to prove a point by staying at his dads. i don't know what that point is... but i think it has to do with just ending the chaos and the whole situation. You can see joonyoung is so tired of everything he doesn't even care who gets hurt, even if it's his mom, even if it's himself, if staying at his dad's makes this war between his parents end quicker, i think he was resolved to do it. Honestly you can tell he'd rather live at his mom's because he was never happy at his dad's and always secretly crying, but then his dad will just keeping coming over if he goes back and it'd never end.

to conclude, joonyoung isn't as genuine as everyone thinks . he's not confused between his parents and who's side he should be on and only now realising his mom is the one always there for him. He was just doing whatever created least damage because he's over them "fighting" over him, BUT when things did get out of control, i think he honestly just got really scared and stopped trying to be tough and reverted back to being a kid who needs his mom, and i don't think there's anything wrong with that.

It was so stupid of him to tell it to his own son who is still a kid, he is not fit to be a father honestly
he hit the lowest of the lowest of the low. i thought he cared about joonyoung a little more than that but just as everyone keeps saying, joonyoung was just a means to get sunwoo. He has no bottom line. he let all his anger and guilt onto joonyoung who did nothing wrong. sigh

im with you. he needs to get hte f out of her house. why is he... even there. it makes me rage LOL how she just lets him in and even after all the awful things he's done, he still acts to shameless and "cute" by taking all the food she's prepared for herself and just walking around the house like he still lives there. omg omg omg, just get out LOLLL. i hope she takes everything from him and then dumps him LOL, give him false hope and then at the end tell him "i told you we weren't getting back together tho. good bye" i will wait for this hahaha

i kind of hate that about this show. it's pretty much saying the only reason they're compatible despite their…
i think they do it because of the obvious problem with an older woman/younger male couple: because then she'll look like his mom. which is creepy. so they have to make sure they still look like a couple and make her the damsel-in-distress that needs to be saved by the mature guy (who just so happens to be younger) and god forbid give her a brain incase she seems wiser than him, and that just makes me hate the writing because they're obviously unable to write a couple with a mature woman who DOESN'T act like his mom. and it's just like ??? this isn't mission impossible. healthy relationships with age gaps actually EXIST irl so you're not writing complex insane characters that don't exist on this planet. istg, it's just bad characterization and lazy writing. lol, what a rant XD

yeah, everything he was yelling to joonyoung was actually to himself. he was speaking his frame of mind and you can, for once, see him realising HE'S the problem. too bad he'd rather hurt his child over admitting it tho.

have you watched lucky's first love? i really liked the 2nd FL in that show. and i know what you mean, it's so…
yeah the one that gave up i think, and got with his friend in the end lol. i liked her, which is rare cause usually females in cdramas are either awful or tolerable LOL but then again its not like i wanted her to end up with the main guy. other than that i really cant think of any other shows lol... thats so dodgy haha
