ehhh, open ending? depends how you look at it.... it's a drama set in modern times but they travel alot to the past

yeah they're the same. which sucks cause joy of life is so popular i think he has to write it's s2 and s3 before this show

there is supposed to be one. i've heard the scriptwriter has to finish writing 'joy of life' so i dont know when the next season comes out. if they dont make a 2nd one, i'll cry haha

oh lol XD ive also watched pretty much all of the remakes hahaha. maybe try browsing the "contract marraige" tag? With arranged marriages i really liked "The love by hypnotic" (cdrama) for more contract relationships there's the kdrama "100 days my prince" and also "1% of something"

have you watched itazura na kiss? (also known as playful kiss?) there are alot of remakes so you can choose which language you'd like lol. personally i found the 'love in tokyo' japanese remake to be the best. anyway, alot of people have compared this drama to that series so maybe you'd like to check it out?

yeah they were just as cheesy in english. but i guess no amount of bad translation can turn an "elegant" poem into something as cringey as those poems LOL. but i guess i like to think it's muey's dorkiness that slowly melts Tien's heart. which kind of makes sense if you think about it, he always plays around with "mature" coy women and is almost too used to how they interact with him so for him Muey is hard to handle. Yeah i like that scene too. Thien's a jerk but he's at least always protected her like a big brother. Thien is just the epitome of a spoilt immature kid who always wants his way, to top it all he's extremely stubborn.

I can't read thai so i can't read the novel anyway XD lol, I didn't like the whole pregnancy thing at the end either, it turned way too melodramatic. what's the original ending like?

lol. i totally agree with your episode summary. infact i plan to rewatch it up to ep 12 and pretend the rest doesn't exist LOL. self-editing at it's finest. Alot of the poems i found pretty cringey. i don't know if that's just cause translating them to english sounds weird and if you understand thai there's probs a bunch of rhyming schemes and wordplay im missing.... or maybe muey has always been the cheesy type and i just cannot. handle. the 2nd-hand embarrassment LOL. it is definitely hilarious however, watching Muey who's quite dorky interacting with the too-cool Tien lol. ahhh, i'll miss this couple, and the tropical beachy-paradise thailand always gives off. Loved all the beach and resort scenes and tropical lifestyle houses.

anyone else mad about how this drama was resolved over Muey becoming pregnant. First of all I odn't like how it took away from the resolution and conclusion of this drama and what it's meant to be about. This drama is about Thien coming to terms with loving someone. For Muey it's meant to be about her becoming independent of Thien despite her love for him. This is what the ending should've been about but instead their reunion was kind of down-played and brushed-over over them having a child/Muey's health problems. Like are you seriously telling me that a man who has never believed in love and even when he is in love, finds it so hard to admit it, will suddenly be 100% ok and accepting of suddenly becoming a father of two. lol. Thien is only the most stubborn person in the world.

Anyway, I'm just mad the pregnancy stole the spotlight of what is meant to be the best moment of the show: thien fighting for love for once, and Muey accepting him when she gets the respect she deserves.

but oh well, the actors still did a great job. i still found this really entertaining and the chemistry to be really good and i really love the MLs facial expressions and just his character in general. He's always been the youngest brother in the family who's such a childish trouble-maker but extremely stubborn and confident and that's why it's fun to see him develop into someone more mature, with the taunting of his mother and older brother of course. lol, love it. Of course this drama was also on crack, had the randomest of background music and editing, i'm not quite sure I got half of the flashbacks or the poems but oh well. The main ost was amazing however. I love it so much. especially as Thien sung it at school that one time. It's such an evoking song that give u all the feels.

i like, need season 2 tho LOL haha, but i agree. wang you is a great actor. i hope he gets more roles. he was so charming in this drama. I've watched 'I've fallen for you' recently. I found it super cute and really funny lol. it's a lighthearted historical
romcom and they actually used their real voices in it which was pretty refreshing. other than that, nothing i've watched recently is very reccomendable....

that's why i liked the korean version of this story XD lol, they actually showed what happened after they got together lol, if you liked this show, maybe check it out?

I have seen a million childhood friend romances and a million workplace rival romances, but i've never really seen a drama of both! how interesting..... i hope it's really good, they have so much they can do with this type of setting

it's because there aren't any decent subs im guessing so no one's seen it and reviewed it. I watched it with autotranslate subs which the youtube episodes provide. It's defs not a cheap production and the story (althoguh has some flaws) is pretty solid so id say it's one of hte better wuxia dramas out there (and as i've said before, the visuals are just super pretty lol) so im sure the rating will go up once someone actually subs it. if you know a little chinese then i think the autotranslate subs are for the most part understandable, if not..... they probs won't make much sense. hope this helps ^^

i really like the songs in this drama. they're like modern edm house or something lol (idk genres) even tho it's set in ancient times XD and they're so catchy. love them XD
