lol yes, that's what i thought, well more so of, i know they usually compare fortunes like that for couples to see if they match and i was wondering if ji was looking at it in that way LOL

you know i thought General Ji was just an army general but as the episodes kept going, he seemed to do a lot of government stuff and everyone in town knew him and kind of worships him so i was hella confused, so i did some research on what a "jiedushi" actually is and it's actually a military regional governer, in other words, from what i understand, he heads the government (or at least holds the power if there's another type of "head") for whatever region (or regions) he's assigned to by the emporer which explains why he's not just hanging around his army all day but mostly doing administrative stuffs. So hopefully someone else was curious about this... or maybe it was just me LOL but this is why the townfolk talk about him like a myth and have his pictures and stuff, it's cause he OWNS their city (and probably all the surrounding cities too) XD

omg, yeah, i really really lovede FBS, i hate that it didn't do well, loved the friendship in it and the acting and the fight scenes and cgi were super impressive. sigh, i want a s2 so bad but i doubt it'l happen

can anyone who speaks chinese tell me what paper general ji burns in episode 14? is it just his and tianqi's fortunes? i dont understand why he burns it? It happens around 26.23

yep, he acts totally insane and it's even more perfect with his noble appearancce and that fancy green robe he always wears, so contrasting. whichever stylist decided to give him a glass eye, give that person a raise. my dog has two different eyecolours and it's always made her look a little mad LOL, they've used it perfectly in this show

i know XD i even watched ahead without subs because it's such a feel-good show. At times like this, I also really wish i spoke chinese haha.
not to be ungrateful but it seems when the actual company of a drama subs the show, it tends to be a million times slower then if fans subbed it (and sometimes fans do a better job) but it's also nice to support the offical youtube channel so eh, everything has it's pros and cons.

they release two subbed episodes a day on saturday and sunday at 10am GMT+8 aka, the time in beijing, on the youtube channel, so dont worry they havent stopped, i think theyre up to 12 so far

I love that Lu Yi is calm in almost every situation, he really doesn't lose his cool ever, even when situations invlove the girl he likes, like you can see him distressed and trying to think of something to do, but he never acts out emotionally, as someone of his job description should. I really like this because sometimes in shows the army general or intelligent strategist or whoever it is, sometimes becomes wreckless when faced with emotional situations, but not Lu Yi, and that ties with his description at the beginning of the show, how these imperial guards are ruthless and very cold-blooded because they deal with the worst of crimes and you have to be like that to have that job

you should watch young blood then,its literally the only cdrama ive seen where the ml and fl are equals and people are smart because they do smart things, not because the other does dumb things XD
But i would like to defend 'under the power' a bit because I really enjoy it and for most of the time, the two leads really DO act as partners and solve crimes together and she really isn't a complete airhead (like the majority of fls) And honestly, if take into account that he's many years her senior, as well as her boss's boss and well, a man, which in those times, really does mean something, I can kind of tolerate most of the times he's "smarter" (but you're right that very first scene was dodge as hell) because if he's not, what the hell is he doing running the imperial guards and why does he have all this power???

I also like that this drama doesn't unrealistically show this tiny girl using kungfu to beat up all these 6ft men. She has basic martial arts but to fight alongside everyone, she uses her gun. Also her asset to their team is her incredible tracking skills, which are much better then the MLs, so it's not like she shouldn't be there or is just extra weight, so ive found this drama to be quite different interms of most.

But just to add, I ccompletely agree that I am SO SICK of this dynamic, of the smart ml and dumb as bricks fl who's "cute" and "mischevious" and alwayss obsessed with money, even if she lives in the 21st century in a loft apartment i know she can't afford, and has no table manners when she eats (but this somehow makes her cute) and she always has a strange temper and gets unreasonably angry at reasonable requests and should've really been fired long ago because of said attitude but she won't because her only real attribute is being "nice" and tripping over air and smart men like that in a girl... apparently lol

okay, lets all be real, the evil guy is one of the most pyscho people we've ever seen in cdrama LOL i love the actor, he's great

yeah i saw i need romance 3 too, there's definitely two types, one where the age gap is actually the main conflict in the story and then other where it's just the theme of the romance part but it's not an actual issue or whatever

i guess now that i think about it it's less in cdrama and more of a trend in kdrama and jdrama lol
