But first, I want to let everyone know that I'm enjoying the heck out of this train wreck of a show.
I can't believe it's taken me this long to figure this out, BUT . . . This is NOT a Science Fiction show. It's a Science Fact show, and they're getting the facts wrong.
Star Trek was science fiction. Warp drives and transporters are science fiction. Star Wars was science fiction. Light sabers, and The Force, and X-wing space fighter jets that defy the laws of physics are science fiction. Doctor Who was science fiction. Nothing is bigger on the inside like a TARDIS.
But WTSG? The spacecrafts, the space station, how space walks work, IVF, hyperbaric oxygen chambers, how microscopes work, etc., are all science facts in our life time. As a scientist, when the writer gets the basic science wrong, it bugs the crap out of me. The writer could have consulted with scientists to get the science correct and still written a funny, bonkers, space opera.
OKAY, rant over. I'm ready for the SPACE BABEEEEEEES!
I felt sympathy for GoEun last episode, but now she's bugging me. And what was the purpose of having her get burned in the last episode? Surely there was a nicer way of bonding with the 3 Mommies.
And why didn't Eve tell Dong-A "I know you cheated. I freaking heard you!"???
Eve can't get rid of Gong that easily. She's definitely pregnant, and so is sister-in-law. SPACE BABEEEEEs!!!!!
The writer screws up science again. Kang would not be able to open the door in the middle of oxygen therapy, especially if it involves a pressurized chamber like in hyperbaric oxygen therapy, as the pressure needs to be carefully released before the door can be opened safely. Opening it while pressurized could be extremely dangerous due to the risk of rapid decompression and potential injury.
There have been so many ways the writer could have included REAL science, and instead they just screw it up every freaking time.
1. My favorite characters:Santi: He's so adorably clueless when they're speaking Korean in front of him. Also,…
I thought about it being a sports bra. But it doesn't make sense to wear a sports bra in zero gravity, if you know what I mean.
And I agree that the new potential couple seems good. You'll notice that they tend to have the same reactions to things that happen. Rewatch the last couple of episodes, and in every reaction shot, they are doing the same thing.
Santi: He's so adorably clueless when they're speaking Korean in front of him. Also, very rude of them to leave him out of the conversation by speaking in Korean in front of him and not translating.
GoEun: She's a good girlfriend. I get why Gong doesn't want to marry into the family, but she's very nice and pretty and has his back. I don't understand why he's so cold to her.
OBGYN guy friend who hangs out with the Mommies. I really want to know more about him.
The 3 Mommies. Love THEM!
2. I guess Lee Seung Jun is going to hook up with Mina. Because there's not enough romantic drama about how sleeping with your co-irkers is a bad idea.
3. How'd that pink bra have perfect boobs while floating in frozen space?
4. Where did Gong hide the morula freezer? That thing has a camera and a transmitter that can transmit from space. That thing ain't small. Either it was in the aluminum tent, or it's still up on the space station. I can't imagine being heated and shaken to bits on reentry was good for the morula.
5. What did those 4 astronauts think they were doing sneaking out. They can't even stand up. But why is Santi having a problem with gravity? He was only up there 6 days. Everyone else was up there for months, but not Santi or Eve or Gong.
6. So we're just forgetting all about the lottery ticket now?
7. Next episode. It's SPACE BABEEE TIME!
( Yeah! I'm just shutting off my science background on that rocket launch and reentry stuff.)
8. WTF Dong-a. You were trashing Eve while sleeping with other Kang, and now you're suddenly in love with Eve. What a trash human Dong-a is.
On the one hand, I Googled if getting the donor's memories after a heart transplant is a thing, and there seems to be a couple of cases, but they were always the same couple of cases on every website.
On the other hand, I also read some Reddit threads where people who got transplants were asking other people if they ever got their donor's memories, and everyone said, "No. It's a Hollywood trope."
I can't decide if I find this show sweet and heartbreaking, or really icky. I find the poster with the 3 of them kinda icky.
And the wife is jealous of the donor's girlfriend, as she should be, but somehow the show is painting the girlfriend as the good one and the wife as being irrational.
It was adorable.
I need the rest!
....I'll see myself out.
Hehehehehhe! Love it.

She's a single mother who works at a hotel. He's an alien with superhuman strength. THEY FIGHT CRIME!
