1. WTF Mom? That's not the way you announce yourself to your abandoned child. Way to make the child feel like shit. Tell your real child you didn't want her and that Gong was the only child she wanted. I just knew that as soon as she drank, Eve was going to do a DNA test on Mom's spit in the cup.
2. I'm in love with Go-Eun again. I like the way she's letting MZ Dad know that she's breaking up with Gong. Easing Dad into the idea that she's bored with him.
3. I'm in love with Kang-su again. Not as a character, but I just love Oh Jung Se. Those wonky eyes when he had to pee. I don't like that they're matching Go-Eun and Kang-su up again. But they should have let him keep his jumpsuit. It's not like he's going to impersonate a police officer by wearing it. Or that he can sneak into a rocket while wearing it.
4. Why do I have the feeling Space Baby Morula isn't going to survive.
5. Why do I have the feeling Eve is going up to space after breaking up with Gong, and she'll be up there for a year while PREGNANT and give birth in SPAAAAAAAAAACE, with Gong going up to do the delivery. And then they'll send in their marriage license from SPAAAAAAAACE.
6. Did the writer forget that MZ Dad gave each of the 3 mommies a ton of money to buy a dress in which to meet him? What ever happened to that? I complained about that bit of nonsense before. The writer never mentions the meeting. Then the 3 mommies get their money envelopes. Then nothing. No meeting with MZ Dad.
7. Santi, "Champagne!" It's the only word he understood.
8. And what was the point of Eve making a fuss about her fruit flies being the first to do it in space and have babies, if Kang-Su comes along during his Court Martial and says they've been breeding fruit flies in space for 50 years already? Long before the mouse got preggers. (And yes, I know it wasn't a Court Martial.)
9. OHHHHHH! And WTF Gong? Who goes and gets all the paperwork done for a marriage license and then hands it to their girlfriend of 2 weeks? Like someone else said here, that's stalker shit.
If you're getting a marriage license, you go together because you're already in agreement that you're getting married. Gong is a huge red flag.
And Eve is never going to be comfortable with her 3 mothers-in-law knowing that one of them is her real mother who doesn't want her.
Two reasons people aren't showing much interest in this drama:1. It's Sci-fi and just a handful of kdrama fans…
It's not Sci-Fi. Star Trek was Sci-Fi. Warp drive and transporters that beam you anywhere don't exist.
WTSG is Science Fact. IVF and space stations exist right now, and we know how they work because it's real science. The writer got all the science wrong, and it would not have been hard to get it right. I'd be much more impressed with this show if they got the science part right. Then dial down the weird relationships and make the humor either more realistic or more consistently over the top. But get the science right.
im confused why they belive it is impossible for them to do the deed in the space when santi is doing that everyday…
The writer got so many basic science facts wrong. Given the budget of this show, it wouldn't have been hard to have a few doctors and scientists on the payroll to make sure the science was correct.
UPDATE. I've now watched about 6 episodes and I'm in love with S Orchestra and all the characters. I just wish ML would quit hitting FL. That's bugging me. But I guess it's true to the manga.
2nd update: I just finished the show and I loved it. Even my husband loved it, and he usually doesn't watch Japanese or Korean shows with me. It was nice to see that they nailed the ending. I have no way of watching the specials, but I'm happy with how the original show ended.
lol, sneaking to take some pictures on some dead man is WILD. lets just gulp all the plot
And the place was locked, and he was just laying in a casket. Why wasn't he put back in the freezer? And she had to undress him a bit to take those photos. That whole part was weird.
This just dropped on Netflix, and I think I kinda love it. The music is amazing.
The visual style copies the manga very closely. And each of the characters have a definite "Look."
I see some commenters saying the live action looks too much like anime. However, I don't think this show would have worked if they made it look realistic. Teachers hitting students. Men punching women. Old men creeping on women. Those scenes are all played for laughs by being very over the top. I confess I laughed at those parts. If those scenes were done realistically, it would be a complete turn off. Really gross. So I'm accepting the over the top acting and directing choices.
Oh, and the set design bugs me. I see this in a lot in TV shows. Their apartment doors are right next to each other. But if you go into the apartments, the front doors cannot possibly be right next to each other.
He really did. At one point in Mr. Plankton, he's walking around depressed wearing a black turtleneck, a khaki trench coat, and a bit of facial hair, and I was like, "DAMN, he got sexy all of a sudden!"
