He could only interact with, talk to, or touch people or things that were in color in the past. It was only when everything was in color that he could actually save the FL.

So I think it was a case of, it didn't matter how many times he went back to try to save his boss or FL, or look at a happy time with his family. The time travel loop wouldn't let him touch anything unless the time was right.

I was originally concerned that the kid would be traumatized by the fire. But I don't think the kid can travel to the past like ML can. I think the kid can just retrieve things from the past, if he knows what they are. Convenient Deus Ex Machina.

How is that kid not traumatized by the fire? Unless he doesn't actually go back. He can just retrieve things if he knows what they are?
