OK, so did they just drop the FL flying through the air and doing supernatural stunts? They never explained that. And now it feels like the show just got "real". I'll give it one more episode (#4) and then I may drop it.
Well I'm currently watching this and Extraordinary Lawyer Woo Young Woo. I have a feeling I'm going to drop this one, because the FL is annoying the crap out of me. If this show was only about the Cafe' Scooby-Doo gang, I'd probably hang in there, but there are so many things about the FL I don't like. At first I wanted to feel sorry for her that the higher ups want to get rid of her. Now, I just wish they would get rid of her already.
I wasn't going to watch Extraordinary Lawyer Woo Young Woo, but now I think I like that one way better than Cafe' M.
I just noticed that too. I think it’s a character design choice in juxtaposition to everyone else( other male…
I know he works in a cubicle as opposed to Woo Young Woo, who has a small office. But he's still working in a law firm and he is meeting with clients. I still find it odd that he's dressed so casually compared to everyone else. It seems like the sort of look which would have gotten him a talking to from HR.
OK, so Episode 3 confirms the age gap between the FL and the ML. They should have hired an actress 10 years younger, because she looks older than than the ML (and she is in real life). I find this distracting.
Theory: In Ep1 the landlord describes the father as being a widower, but in Ep2, FL says that her father has never been married. I wonder if back in university, the father had an affair with one of the female lawyers who head up the two big law firms. She didn't want the baby and he did, so he ended up dropping out (or just not practicing law) and running a restaurant so he could easily feed his child. Now that the child is an adult, the mother is giving the child (FL) a job.
Is it common in Korea to just change the crime you are accused of in the middle of a trial? I think the USA, there would be a mistrial and then a new trial scheduled for the new crime.
I have a nephew on the autism spectrum and he acts a lot like FL. When introducing himself professionally, he will talk about being autistic and what he is and is not comfortable with. He is also the only person in his family to go to and graduate from university. Once employers got over his tics, they realize he's the best employee they have and promoted him.
I find the FL to be very relatable since she acts so much like my nephew.
Yes, very cute so far, but just as I was afraid they lost me there with FL's believability as an attorney (or…
My husband was on a jury in the USA where both attorneys were trying their very first cases. He said the attorneys were SOOOO bad at it that the judge actually apologized to the jury. So as a rookie attorney, it is possible to make it through law school and mock trials and still be total crap when it comes to the real thing being in a courtroom for the first time. In FL case, she was very awkward and nervous, but she did much better than the real attorneys my husband witnessed as a juror.
I have a theory about the weird age gap. The Ghost recognized the Shaman as someone she had a judo class with as a child. So the Shaman is played by the older actor. However, both people are actually 10 years old (or close in age) in the judo class. After class she hands him a note, and he gets embarrassed and puts it away. He then SKIPS off with his girlfriend. Only a child would do that, not an adult. So I think we're seeing the scene through the eyes of The Ghost as a 10 year old, but that the Shaman was actually 10 years old too, just played by the older actor so we'd recognize him.
My question was whether or not ML is the same person she knew as a child. Has he reincarnated or has he simply…
I'm confused as to whether the 10 year child is the same person as The Ghost cop. Also, it seems the memory of the judo class is seen through the eyes of the child, given you see Nam Han Joon SKIPPING away with his girlfriend. I can't believe that's what actually happened. I'm beginning to wonder if The Ghost recognizes NHJ and so that's why the adult actor played him. But since he and his girlfriend SKIPPED away, I'm wondering if he was really 10 years old in the judo scene as well.
I started the first 10 min..and it's just..idklike I've watched the movie pipeline and it was meh for me..is this…
I started this. Thought it was stupid. Turned it off. Couldn't find anything else to watch. Went back and finished the 1st episode and then watched the 2nd episode. It's goofy, but it kinda has me hooked. At least until something a bit more like My Liberation Notes comes on.
Really enjoyed the first 2eps. I really do hope there isn't a big age gap.. maybe forgot to cast yoynger version…
Yeah, I thought the ML and FL were the same age. Then the flashback and she's 10 years younger. It makes no sense. She's obviously in her 30's and he's not in his 40's. There's no way she's in her 20's. The younger sister is obviously in her early 20's, and there's no comparison.
I usually like more realistic K-dramas (My Mister, My Liberation Notes), but I gave this a try and despite the rather over the top acting and bizarre plot, it sucked me in. Very funny. I'm guessing ML is trying to solve the murder of FL's brother, for which ML was arrested? Can't be a spoiler because I'm totally guessing.
I do have a question though. I thought the ML and FL were the same age. I see the actors are the almost the same age (she's older). But in the flashback she's 10 years younger than he is. As an adult, I thought she was in her mid 30's, but there's no way he's in his 40s. Is FL supposed to be in her 20's, because her character doesn't come off as a rookie?
