I think you are half right since in both cases, while they did not like how the other acted, the reason why they…
Yes, I agree. I think both Liberation club members want to deal with the "problem" in their own way and not have the more assertive potential lover handle it for them.
To me, I thought KJ's outburst was weird. But then later in the show, when Gu practically says the same thing to MJ, I thought, "Ah, there's a symmetry to what the writer did here." They want us to compare the relationships. While Mr. Gu's suggestion seems romantic, KJ's seems overbearing.
since this is an anthology, do I necessarily have to watch the whole show or can I just jump over episodes?
I'd say no, you cannot skip episodes. It's not an anthology. In an anthology, each episode is a separate story. This is more like a soap opera where most of the characters show up and most the stories progress in each episode. It's just that one or two of the stories will have prominence in certain episodes. But there is a lot of overlap between the stories.
I liked the juxtaposition of the following interactions.
1. Ki Jung texting Tae Hoon to tell her who beat him up so she could go after them and curse them. He appears to be turned off by this.
2. Gu telling Mi Jung to tell him who her scumbag ex boyfriend is so he can have someone go after him and beat him up. She is turned off by this.
In the first case, I got the feeling that KJ was nuts, and TH had the expected response. In the second case, I got the feeling that Gu was great and MJ was being unreasonable.
And yet, both scenarios were exactly the same, and both TH and MJ had the same response.
These are people struggling to save money.
Have we seen anyone "rich" in this show with a more current phone. I haven't been paying attention to that sort of thing.
Fremdschämen is the act of being embarrassed for somebody else who is behaving in an embarrassing way.
