Some people wait for a drama to end to rate it, so it might change once the drama ends. It's not the most watched drama on MDL and very few people have rated it so far. Also, it cannot be everyone cup of tea, so it might be one of those underrated drama at the end of the day. Hopefully, the drama stays this good and the rating gill go up afterwards because more people with watch/rate it once it's completed!
I was waiting till this drama finishes airing to watch it, how was it for people who have finished it? Is it romantic…
In short, yes there is romance and yes you can call it dark since it's about revenge, so it's not a smooth sailing type of romance. The story is entertaining with many twists and turns, and both leads are smart. Their relationship gets challenged towards the end, that might be the downside, but overall it's an enjoyable ride. I would recommend you watch it and make your own opinion.

I think the main difference for us viewers is the attitude of the FL towards the ML. In the novel she does all these things to brin Mr Rong's businnesses down but still stay with the ML and they work together, even though she works with 2ML too. And that wasn't a problem, on the contrary. I was rooting for them. But the problem here is, they changed this part of the story, they separated the FL and ML and now she looks bad working with the 2ML. If they had kept the same script as in the novel, that would have been more satisfying since the ML, FL and 2ML are all in the same boat.
Well it looks like he will indeed go away from the fl and join the military for a few years after getting shot…
He getting shot and going away to study does happen in the novel as well. So my guess is that the ending will be the same as in the novel.. so no memory lost

In the novel that’s not the case at all. Once they got together, they stayed together until the end. Once she got back from Peking, they even met and shared sweet moments. Even after she discovered the whole truth. We could guess 2ML had feelings for her but nothing ever happened. I am bit disappointed they changed this part in the drama 😞 In the novel, Shiori end up chasing 2ML because he looks richer than ML, they even slept together and she gives up on ML altogether but 2ML was just playing her so there was never a kidnapping scene. I guess they wanted to add unnecessary drama 😩
