Iris is really good which he also stars in along side Kim Tae Hee. A much older drama but it was amazing. Just like this drama actually in terms of a good storyline, great acting, romance, and action. If you don’t mind going back a few years in drama land try Iris.
I just started watching (and its great!) but i am quite confused about the history. Can anyone rec me some article…
Idk about an article but this is the “early” period of Korean exploration, at first foreigners came for the art and culture of an unknown place but then saw they could take more. Basically all the western countries want to colonize or imperialize Asia. Western Europe in India and other south Asian countries. Russia takes most of the Middle East and try for parts of China and Korea which was a sometimes friend some times enemy of China. Eastern Europe takes northeast Africa so they don’t go for more or can’t idk which one tbh. Korea is one of the last stops . But it’s still a country of absolute monarchs and has many old traditions they still abide by. They set to use the monarchs ingnorance of the outside world against them like all colonist and imperialist do. The powerhouses of the world have more advance technology and weapons to fight and take what they want, hence gunner Jang stealing guns to examine them. Japan is the innovatitors of Asia and look to take Korea as a territory and advance their power along side the others. So at the time of this drama japan is in the early stages of establishing imperial rule before the First World War. Idk what America is doing cause they don’t do much until the war brakes out, Russia aids Korea for money, China wants Korea still, and Europe is staying out of it, they have what they want for now. While I don’t know all the history i do know a few things here and there hope this helps and wasn’t too long.
and I didn't know that Foreigners watch the Turkish dramas. I'm really surprised.
Tons of Turkish dramas were recently added to Netflix so im currently obsessed with a few. I didnt know they remade so many. The long and dragging hasnt hit me yet. i like details and not leaving any stones unturned, especially when i get attached to characters
I recently got into Turkish dramas and i'm obsessed and have put Asian dramas on hold..but i haven't watched any drama remakes. I know hey remake Kmovies also and i have watched the remake of Always, one of my all time favorite kmovies featuring So Ji Sub. It was decent but i'm bias so it might be amazing to some. But i will be checking out some of these remakes.
I can't with Sheng Mei, shes no better than her mother, shes demanding of men and partial to how woman should…
No shes banking on his success to be her success. She is successful in her own right bug she can't do more with her leaching family. She may love him but he doesn't feel comfortable telling her about his failures. She is demanding of him so she can move up in life. She didn't want him when he was renting a car, and she's even considered another man because he seemed more successful than Bai Chuan. She adds stress to his already stressful life.
I watched ep10 and I'm wondering how Fen Qing asked Ting En to teach her how to make a cake after that kiss,…
they made the cake before the kiss, and i think they both tried to act like the kiss never happened. For him i think its cause she didnt respond to is confession and she didnt want to make the relationship they had awkward.
I can't with Sheng Mei, shes no better than her mother, shes demanding of men and partial to how woman should act around men who are "courting" them. Why is she crying over her issues and expecting her bf to solve them at a moments notice.. isn't that the reason she didn't want to be with him in the first place, she didn't want to burden him with her family issues. But she gives in cause she wants happiness (which is understandable) but she tells him to work more so they can buy a house, then gets mad when he doesn't solve her problems fast enough or when he works all the time. They aren't on the same page, but she gives advice on relationships all the time. Ying Ying is not just naive shes dumb, shes had experience in the world but it seems none of it has registered. She cautious but clueless at he same time and she doesn't know how to keep her mouth shut. But i do love her for her spunky attitude at times. Xiao Xiao has grown on me since last season, and while i like her from time to time i do dislike her ways. But what i can appreciate about her is her genuine attitude, she knows what she wants and goes after it. But what she has to realize is not everyone is like that and not everyone will appreciate that about her. Guan Guan just needs experience and she knows that, but shes stays in the background because she doesn't know and choosing to watch and learn. An Di is my favorite but i just wish she would loosen up a bit. i know she has her issues and terrible experiences in life so she can only take one step at a time. She has the best men around her, if all fails her bff/boss is a great choice imo
Does anyone else get pissed off by Ying Ying? She has this holier than thou attitude, yet she is so young and…
This is one of the reasons I truly enjoy this series, there is a character everyone dislikes with a passion. But then the same character others love because they seem so real. I think we can all related to the woman in this series in some way and some we can't stand to see on screen.
While I don’t know all the history i do know a few things here and there hope this helps and wasn’t too long.
