You can go directly to ep 9/15, in my own experience, i skipped directly to ep 15, got hooked, then watch earlier episodes to get some basic foundation of the story. IS starts slowly in early episodes, but it gets better and better.. until you cant come out from the pit 🤣

As a new audience (never knew the cases before), i think this drama present the point of view of the defendants and plaintiffs very well and still manage the fairness. Its very difficult to do, they try hard to manage the fairness that even in some cases they are able to make us feel empathy for both sides.

Some cases for ex in qin ling case, the bad people already obvious, but this drama still want us to understand their difficulties/distressing situation on being in huge debt and not able to meet their son for years

Draw the line shows us even bad people have their own "good" reasoning to do their wrong things 😁

Some of their reasoning may be in grey area which is difficult to say right/wrong, and its judges role to draw the line 😉

And finally, to drive more audiences, of course the drama should be controversial itself 🤣🤣🤣
