I think FYS already too brave and ready to leave his mom if he didnt get the spleen accident. He and XJ should have dealt with his mom with softer ways to win her heart. Sadly there were not enough screentime to show his effort since there are too many side stories.

Her family helped ling tian. And i think to get the company over xizhou is a form of revenge for what fu family and xizhou's mom did to her.

ZJ did give up on FYS, she didnt try to find out what happened when FYS suddenly missing (at least the drama didnt show enough scenes for her effort), and still wanted to give up after meeting him. She started to devote after knowing FYS fell of the stairs because of her 😅
