you guys really shouldn't watch this show if you just gonna hate some players afterward and not appreciaty the…
Good competition is when the game integrity is consistent. Not when the games seemingly change up and advantage certain players however it wants to.

Does it make sense that throughout the entire show, alliances with man advantage had an advantage for the match, which is why living room players dominated, but at the very end of the show when prisoners have a man advantage, the show flips the script and players with the smaller team now has the advantage? In case you don't know what I'm talking about, the goal of Doubt and Bet is to predict your enemy's cards. So, you'd think that more teammates is more information? Wrong. We don't care about our own cards, we care about the enemy's card. And according to the law of large numbers, greater sample size means greater odds of averaging out, which means greater predictability of the larger team's cards. Smaller team has higher odds for variability, which is what pushes our odds for tricking the opposing side. And if that wasn't enough of an advantage, they allow pieces to move between 2 players...

This was a stupid show. They torture the prisoners and disadvantage them as much as they can just to make a dumbass social commentary that the privileged always wins. How about just making the game show fair and transparent for the players instead of pandering some gimmicky narrative on a competitive reality show?

It's actually insane how lucky Hyungyu was to the point I think the show is scripted. If somewhere down the line, we get a whistleblower exposing this, I would not be surprised by it for 1 bit.

Like, yes, there are moments where HG's teammates die for him, when SH choked a couple of times, or when HG and SH constantly sat next each other in Doubt or Bet, but that's not what I am talking about. If you enjoy logic problems, follow along the Question and Truth game in the finals. Try to deduce the cards using their questions. You'll realize how lucky Hyungyu got with how the numbers kept collapsing and he still could only boil down it to 3 possibilities. If, for example, SH changed a 2 to a 3, then HG is screwed. In contrast, SH's questions have a sense of direction, actually collapses at the right moment, and there is a clear answer.

What a big disappointment. Later games just became who has the most pieces and not who has the most skills. A huge waste of time.

It's not a big surprise that the 2 of the top 3 finalists were hidden reward winners and the top 2 players never stepped foot in prison lmao. None of them were pressure-tested and they all collapsed in front of pressure. Balancing was absolutely atrocious this season.

hyungyu is so fking scary. he is rational, unpredictable, and cold blooded
Hyungyu is not smart enough to win the show lol? Or at least he hasn't proven that.

He barely came up with the solutions and most of them were either inspired or already solved by Sohee. The one time Hyungyu was fully in charge of something was during the Monster game and he almost got the Reaper stolen by Justin, but Justin went ahead of Kyuhyun to attack the Reaper. If Justin placed himself right after Kyuhyun, he would have won. But the auto-win strategy is to have a teammate toss a grenade at the Reaper first and then have Kyuhyun finish the kill... Because even if Justin went right after the person who first threw a bomb, the maximum damage done to the reaper would be 10/18... Maybe it was scripted? We also have 0 idea of how good Hyungyu is under pressure because he never played an elimination game. And unless the hidden game was also scripted for Hyungyu to just finish in the nick of time, he would be a complete moron if he spent an entire day and couldn't memorize 3 puzzles that follow a pattern.

I see hyun gyu, so hui and eun yu in the finale, if they get eliminated it’s really gonna suck. 7high is good…
No, you misunderstood Jiyeong. She said she didn't like how Kyuhyun constantly fencesat and didn't have a backbone to stand up for himself or what's right for the group (since an alliance means you support trustworthy players to reach the top to help the supporters after). That means Kyuhyun isn't a good alliance member as he doesn't have a sense of loyalty.

Even if she's not the smartest, she's very good at reading people. 7high, who is also good at reading people, didn't recognize the true mastermind was Hyungyu and thought it was Tinno, thought Hyungyu targeted him and Jiyeong because they had the fewest pieces, and tried to recruit Sohee and Kyuhyun over Hyunjoon.

But Jiyeong knew right away and understood the proper dynamics of their alliance and Hyungyu's motivation. She called out when Hyungyu's authority would start to weaken, and identified who would be most loyal (Hyunjoon) and who had the least leverage (Kyuhyun). That's exactly how it played out.

Not entirely sure. Maybe she's naive? Maybe she's playing her cards? But if she's playing her cards by going along with Hyungyu only to use him as a scapegoat or a shield later on, which is what it kind of looks like in episode 9, she's not too bright for not considering Hyungyu didn't lie about his hidden reward. More than likely, Hyungyu received some broken ability, like to revive or exchange places with someone or something. Because, realistically, there's no way he simply received a hint for the finals when Hyunjoon received 10 pieces for passing the prison hidden game. As the prisoners said, from Sohee's perspective, she really needs to understand what Hyungyu's hidden card is and determine whether she can counteract it. She has the perfect opportunity right now, but we'll see.

The concept of "Death Room" in this season really one of the best point this season. All the game was so intense…
Justin is the real king of death room games. He soloed his wins and went the furthest. Harin and Eunhye relied on alliances to win their matches. It's also in Justin's final game where he actually was part of an alliance. Prior to that, he was either solo or in semi-alliances. 😥

Man, I wish both Sedol and 7high dropped their egos and worked together in the monster elimination game. They had a fighting chance against Hyungyu's group especially because they misplayed so many times even with their sheer advantage.

Tinno shouldn't have worked with Hyungyu. 7high and Tinno both said they need to work with teammates with the least variable and Hyungyu, the man with the most variables, is nodding in agreeement. I'm like.... what??? And of course Tinno betrays 7high because of Hyungyu and eventually gets tossed away by the alliance. Hyun Joo too. These people don't learn.

Spot on. Sohee is the problem solver of the group. Sadly, she doesn't have leadership skills, doesn't really play politics, nor considers the meta game strategy, which is why Hyungyu is using her.

Ep5 discussion:
Tinno is so dumb... He got completely played by Hyungyu. Prior to Episode 5, he was my favorite player.

7high and Sedol should have formed an alliance. Despite being enemies, their loyalty and game philosophy are similar.

All sites are "fighting grounds," including AllKpop. I am gauging the quality of the commentors based on their reasonability, as well as what the general consensus view is.

I think any commentator who is in denial that GRI's latest press conference was a scam is a lost cause. Likewise, for people who continue to believe GRI's conspiratorial claims that KSH owns the media without evidence.

I think you are also mistaken about AllKpop's views lol. The most popular comments take a similar stance as you do, which is that GRI is unreliable. My point about, "Let that sink in," is to indicate that the supposed "brainrot commentators" are more reasonable than the comments I read here or on /r/kdrama's megathread. A big reason for this, I think, is because the upvotes/downvotes are entirely anonymous, while on sites like AllKpop, it's transparent.

Is it just me who finds the games hard to understand? I eventually catch some of the rules during the game, but…
Rules haven't been complicated except the dice game, which was intentionally difficult because the rules were hidden.

Some of the games, like the first elimination game, had more logical dynamics, but sadly, the players weren't able to fully grasp them.

omg the way 7high got so mad in the dice game pissed me off so bad. like what???! eliminating players is part…
Did you not follow the dialogue?

The two teams had a non-aggression pact where both teams agreed they would try to reach the end goal without eliminations. Se Dol had an opportunity to move 7high backwards without eliminating him, but chose to shoot the first bullet. That's why the other team got really pissed when Sang Yeon made the crazy yellow play and eliminated 3 players.

7high getting upset is justifiable as well as Se Dol eliminating the threat as both were playing a team game. Who are annoying are Hyun Gyu, Kyuhyun, and Ha Rin, who all clearly take advantage of the alliance they are a part of, then make complaints about the alliance AFTER they take advantage of it. Now, that makes no sense at all. The whole point of a soft alliance is to help each other pass and fight each other at the end. Don't like the teams? Then don't benefit from the teamwork either.

Just finished the first game. I hated how Hyun Gyu tried to bring a fellow teammate just because he wasn't "part of the plan." Regardless of whether he wasn't in the plan, he took advantage and won because of Red Team. If he was so adamant about being part of the plan, he should have approached the thieves while he was a corrupt cop even if it jeopardized his position. He wasn't willing? Then, give credit to the people who allowed him to cruise through the game with a perfect win...

Also, the blue team announcer should have voted. If she thought hard a little and voted, she probably would have found the corrupt cop. Voting no one as an ordinary cop doesn't make sense at all in her situation.
