We need an update!! It's been so long. I hope they give us something on chinese new year. š
I hope so too. I also really hope they donāt suppress or mess with Feng Miaojun. Iām still upset about how Love and Crown took away Cangcangās highlights/storyline and gave them to other characters.
Yeah, tbh from a styling standpoint, all of her dresses/looks have been on point. The stylist really deserves praise. So many of these big actresses with big time endorsements wear dresses that donāt fit but her dresses are all well fitted and suit her without falling into that pretty but bland aesthetic that so many others are stuck in. Now, itās just a matter of fine-tuning the hair and makeup.
Itās pretty much a legend when it comes tragedy so itās definitely a āwatch at your own riskā show. I…
Pure Tragedy. There are character deaths and separations but this drama excels in the tragedy category not because of its events per se but because it really understands the drivers behind tragedy. Especially in regards to character flaws.
Feng Miaojun hurry up!!! TBBM, you better be a sweet dramašIām on my third rewatch of Love and Crown and if I watch it anymore, Cangcangās ending is going to make me die of depressionš
Iām on episode 23 and I just want to say at this point that after these mind-blowing epic sword āļø battles,…
The pretty faces are legit. They also didnāt use skin filters or smoothing so thereās no enhancements. Itās 100% based on the good looks of the cast.
Itās pretty much a legend when it comes tragedy so itās definitely a āwatch at your own riskā show. I…
I still havenāt found a Cdrama able to do what this show did. Even though it has its flaws, I think itās a really brilliant show for being able to make the audience feel its characters truly were alive and that its ending is the best ending. I walked away with such an intense feeling of both relief and grief that I havenāt been able to forget the show. I watched this show 6 years ago and still feel sad when I see Xiao Feng.
After editing Xiao Ranās videos for the past year or so, I really hope she can work with more skilled directors and productions who can capture and showcase her brilliance. Lately, Iāve been editing Cangcang and Nie Sangyu and the acting is so beautiful, logical, and natural and the transitions and emotional build-up are so smooth that I am just constantly blown away by her talent.
I'm on ep 2 and I feel like I'm too soft for this drama...
Itās pretty much a legend when it comes tragedy so itās definitely a āwatch at your own riskā show. I thought I loved tragedies when I started it but got my soul rocked at the end and havenāt really watched tragedies sincešš.
is the drama similar to the novel? I just bought it on Amazon and Iām debating if I should watch it first or…
Both have their merits but Goodbye My Princess is one of the rare drama adaptations that is thought to be as good as or better than the book. Personally, I think the book is sadder and more ruthless. That said, the acting and world building in the drama are very good, bringing the characters and the story to life. The political backdrop gives the romance higher and more profound stakes and the grayness of the characters is something not seen too much nowadays. The drama is also a near perfect example of corruption arcs and how character flaws can drive tragedy.

Recently, just because she gained a bit of popularity after having two dramas airing back-to-back, netizens immediately…
The culprit is marketing accounts. Marketing accounts create a lot of the toxic environment on social media and thereās constant āwitch huntsā because of them. Seems like one took a screenshot of some friendly banter between her and a longtime fan and turned it into a negative narrative.
Itās a shame she had to apologise. I donāt think she did anything wrong either but it seems to be resolved now with her apology, which was well-written and sincere:
āI'm late. I've been tidying up my room all morning, doing a big weekend cleaning, and I only just saw everyone's discussion online.
First, I want to thank Mo and Xiami for their courage in speaking out, and also thank all the netizens who have been following this matter. Mo, I know you meant well, you don't need to apologize, and you certainly don't need to apologize to me.
On the contrary, I'm the one who should apologize.
Because of my negligence, I didn't protect Xiami, who have always supported me, and put you under pressure; this is my responsibility. As a public figure, I should be fully aware of the power and potential impact of my words. In seemingly relaxed and casual interactions, I shouldn't have ignored the necessary boundaries and responsibility to guide others!
Thank you to all the netizens for your attention and corrections. This incident has given me a profound reminder: 1. The closer the relationship, the more it needs to be cherished and protected, the more attention should be paid to the methods and approaches; 2. The more casual and relaxed the conversation, the more I must not forget my responsibilities as a public figure.
I am deeply sorry for this. This completely deviates from our original intention of accompanying each other and sharing warmth.
Going forward, I will be more cautious in every public interaction, careful with my words and actions, and mindful of boundaries, so that goodwill is not wasted and no one is hurt because they like me.
Finally, I apologize again for taking up public resources for personal matters. I will turn this attention into encouragement, constantly reminding myself to be grateful to my friends who have guided me on my journey. Thank you all again! Have a great weekend!ā
