The other thing is you would think that he would be able to recognize her scent. I highly doubt she was wearing perfume but her scent should be maybe familiar don't you think? I will say though that when he touched her hand he thought it seemed familia but what about the pendant around her neck? She wore it to the ball. Mark my words though, that pendant will jog his memory and then he'll realize that Cinderella was wearing it. I'm sure he'll come across that glove as well.

But the whole thing is he had a nice chat with her after they snuck out of the ball and yet we're supposed to believe that he couldn't pick up on the fact that Sophie is the girl he's been searching for? I have to say Benny disappointed me with that mistress crack 😠

By the way, how on earth can Benedict not recognize that Sophie's voice is Cinderella?

I must say I was half expecting Johnny Depp to show up in the first episode of season 4 ☠️ 🤣 I couldn't stop laughing at that HAT that Lady Whistledown was wearing. Please tell me I'm not the only one who thought that someone from the Bridgerton costume department went in and poached a trunk from the wardrobe belonging to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise? 🤣🤣🤣

Yeah it sounds like they pretty much went their separate ways after. Kind of like "Well the show's over, see you, it's been a slice."

Plus a lot of people have speculated that he already had a girlfriend and he just came on the show for exposure and the fact that he didn't pursue anything afterwards was the indicator for them.

The differences with the couples is that after watching the reunion show we found out that Jae Jin and Joo Young immediately went and got ice cream together afterwards so it sounds to me like they both came on the show for genuine reasons. With the other contestants is not as clear. I don't know I'm thinking if you don't live in Korea and you're going on a Korean dating show where typically the contestant lives in Korea, do you really expect to meet and maintain a relationship with somebody if you're not actually living in Korea?

At first I looked on here because I want to add it to my list and then when I started watching it I realized why it wasn't on here and that's because they only put Asian produced content on here. More specifically it only focuses on these seven countries: Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand and the Philippines.

Yes, it would be nice if they put other projects on here that although might not be produced in any of those particular Asian countries, they still contain Asian actors. So, when some of the Asian actors do a project that is produced outside of the scope, their content is obviously not included on here so they're filmology is not entirely complete.

Incidentally, I'm kind of wondering what are your thoughts on that show?

I probably miss a lot of stuff not being on Instagram 😭 like I wonder what people are saying with regards to that pic on Jae Jin's Instagram page showing him with Joo Young and that gorgeous sunset?

They could have easily extended the episodes to give everyone equal airtime. This was a tease. Cutting people off mid sentence or mid scene is rude.

I could have sworn there was supposed to be a second season of this. I'm still waiting...

I wonder if the fan event thing you're talking about was regarding season 2 contestants Yoong Jae and Soeun because they were actually charging fans to come to their meet ups? They hosted more than one. This happened in 2023. Incidentally, I looked it up to see the actual amount and one of them was 77,000krw. Charging fans was really frowned upon considering they weren't technically celebs. but even so it was considered to be weird. He had a bar and I believe it went bankrupt and they broke up.

I liked Dex and Nadine from season 2. I wanted them to match up. They do get together in videos from time to time although nothing lately. Plus for season 3, I reeeeeally liked Hyeseon and Gwan Hee to work out. Yes, there, I said it 😜😭🤣

I heard something similar to that.The private thing I mean. Not meaning to single out Koreans however they are notorious for thinking that they have the ultimate right to veto a celebrity relationship if they don't approve. It's bizarre.Some celebs try to get out ahead of a story and release a statement to "explain" that they're dating so and so....

They obviously cherish their relationship enough to try and protect it by setting up boundaries right away...

Well then you would figure that someone on the production team would get the hint and give us more of Jae Jin and Joo Young 🙄

I was kind of thinking that a lot of these shows probably have someone from their staff that works soley on media related things so it's their job to kind of comb the internet to see if they can get a feel for what the viewers are talking about. You know, what they like and what they dislike.

I can't remember where I read it or who said it but somebody presumed that this reunion show was put together to save Mina Sue from the bad publicity that she was getting but that's not correct because the reunion show was filmed entirely before anything ever came out so there wasn't anything to clean up at that time.

I'm kind of thinking though that the reason they were filming it might actually in fact be because the hosts went to the trouble of apologizing to her mid show so maybe they kind of thought or wondered if they should address it because if the hosts feel like they're being particularly hard on Mina Sue then maybe the viewers will too.

Do you think they come to these pages and read comments from the viewers? Hmmm, I wonder if they just take into account what people say on the social media pages that I don't belong to? Bwahahaa

Precisely! You hit the nail on the head. They don't know how to communicate with one another and if you're going to be in a relationship then you better learn how to talk and I don't mean having them just sitting and staring at each other wondering what the other ones thinking. I get why they're popular because everybody seems to be rooting for them and it would be nice if their relationship worked out but looking at how they are towards one another almost like they're walking on eggshells, I just don't think it's going to be a long-term thing but that's just my prediction I could be entirely wrong.

When I think of the potential conversation that we could have listened to between Jae Jin and Joo Young (who as we mentioned were on the rooftop gazing at the stars 🤩 💖🌠🌌) but basically instead had the rug pulled out from under us when their scene was abruptly cut off mid sentence, I just want to scream at whoever was in the editing room at the time 🤬🤬🤬

This show should be treating them far better than what they have been. I still haven't forgotten that comment that one of the hosts made when Jae Jin & Joo Young's minimal amount of screen time was finished and it changed over to another contestant like Mina Sue or whoever it might have been and the male host had the audacity to say, "Well, now on to the main event" . All I've seen is how the show was apologizing to Mina Sue for their commentary on her, so if they're handing out apologies then I believe that Jae Jin and Joo Young deserve an apology as well.

I wanted to see Jae Jin and Joo Young. They are the in my mind the couple that will outlast them all.

I didn't like how they were up on the rooftop talking and their conversation was cut off just like that and yet they put in that endless back and forth thing between Heesun and Subeen. They try and talk and then she runs away to the bathroom. They stare at each other. Awkward silences. That was left in but the couple of the group was once again pushed aside to make way for what?

They're in the car and Jae Jin gives Joo Young an ear bud so they can listen to some music together while travelling, ensuring the audio isn't picked up by the cameras. They obviously prefer privacy when they can get it. Both seem pleased while listening to it.

Joo Young: It feels like we're going on a trip. I really loved travelling. I was crazy about travelling.
Jae Jin: Where did you like the most?
Joo Young: Jeju Island
Jae Jin: Huh?
Joo Young: giggling
Jae Jin: You must have liked the person you went with.
Joo Young: Yeah. Remember my friend that WE met last time?
Jae Jin: Yeah.
Joo Young: I went with them.
Jae Jin: nods in acknowledgment while looking down at their source of music
Joo Young: It was the two of us. While we were on a break from school.
Jae Jin: Did you pick tangerines?
Joo Young: I ate them off the ground. The ones that fell.
Joo Young: What's this? Is this a song you like?
Jae Jin: Yeah.
Jae Jin: I put in something calm in case multitasking was hard for you.
Joo Young: Driving, listening to music and talking. (giggles)
Jae Jin: The music should be relaxing

He is so considerate of her. He is ensuring her comfort as they travel. That is a boyfriend thing that he is doing.

The point is six months passed, and then they all got together in December for this trip BEFORE the release of Single's Inferno 5 came out on Netflix in January. 

During that six-month period after filming ended, Joo Young introduced Jae Jin to her friend.

I wouldn't introduce one of my friends to someone I met on a dating show and walked away with in the finale UNLESS we were still dating.
That gave away how serious they were during the period from the time filming ended to the time that the trip happened. She also had to trust her friend not to spill the beans.
