It was enjoyable and addictive, it was a good binge-watch. 😁
Hua Yong has become one of my all-time favorite (BL) characters: complex, morally grey, devoted lover/husband and exactly the kind of toxic I like. The story could have been a bit longer -- the second couple, especially my lovely Gao Tu, deserved more screen time. Not a masterpiece, but it is a high quality CBL drama.

A decent short movie.

Takezai Terunosuke is very hot! (And a very good actor ofc like the rest of the cast.)

Rokkaku's logic is impeccable. 🥹

Is the jdrama version really not a BL? Is it really a 'fujobait' ? Or are the BL elements just being underplayed? I'm just asking this bc according to DramaOtaku, it's a BL.

7.7 rating? Seriously? I was expecting a crime thriller about a serial killer but twist after twist and the story became something else... Something more complex and psychologically/ emotionally deeper. I didn't regret watching this. (I rarely comment on this platform and I accept that people have different fictional tastes and this is not a perfect jdorama, but still the rating is bit too low imho.)

Sometimes I had the feeling that I was watching a corny comedy of mucho macho life. I liked it but imho it could have so much better.

Indeed, it's always nice when we can legally support what we love or are excited about.
