Kind reminder that not all BLs are 'rose-colored,' they can discuss serious issues (e.g., SA, mental health) and yeah, the creators may be straight men, queer men, queer women, straight women, etc etc. The moment I saw the profile of this drama, I immediately knew there are gonna be comments like 'It's not BL, it's LGBTQ+ '. I have no problem with it if you don't regard this as BL, but some of you are sounding as if you might have prejudices against BL and their audience.
Yeah, it's not a "silly BL" "just for the females" but I bet many BL watchers are gonna check this out with an open mind and gonna love this. So much prejudice against BL in this comment section.
https://www.mangaupdates.com/series/f167sbg/shounen-yo-taishi-toka-iroiro-idake -- it's one of their BL manga -- not only the art, the comedy in it is also very seinen like. It's can be seen as a nice fusion of seinen and BL elements.
The mangaka is a woman and the source material (the manga) is BL.
Also, Hsu Kai is one of the most beautiful actors I've ever seen and Wayne Song is sooo handsome. π
