honestly I thought this held up. each episode got better and better. and if we compare, its nothing like the trash…
really? I already felt so confident in Si Wan's acting so to me it was just what I expected. Park Gyu Young disappointed me though :( I think she tried to be too intense, it felt kinda forced
it's not that i's bad, it's just that it could've been sooo much better. 1. some actors (and even famous and experienced ones) were so off.. the 'funny' gangster, TOP, Lee Jin Wook, Park Gyu Young and even Park Haneul.. maybe they added too many characters and they all wanted to shine.. they tried to add too much personality in little time and it was just too much. Gong Yoo was great though 2. voting got tiring. if you're releasing only 7 eps and plan to show much more side stories and povs, how about not repeating things ? 3. games are less interesting. the only moment I was really excited during the whole show was when the outcasts (girls and old lady) were in that group game and everyone was cheering for them (I was also cheering from home). to me this was the highlight of this season. 4. what was the game leader doing there? did it add anything to the plot? we already knew who he was, and he wasn't charismatic enough to make us care about him nor he managed to create a strong bond with the other characters to make the treason a shock.. bad and unnecessary idea that took space from the main plot.
as a whole, this felt less natural and human. they just threw a lot. of different characters and stories at us, so we didn't connect with anyone. it was very amateur.. :(
it's an okay drama as a distraction, but I found funny that at one point she said she hates sexism the most than proceeds to accept all sexist things the male lead does loool
😂 You must be new to kdramas. Everything you saw in 2016-2017 already appeared in one form or another during…
new? Well, it's been about 9 years, I guess, so I think that's quite a while.. I tried watching many older kdramas but honestly they're usually not my style (too slow, too dramatic or too sexist). so yeah, IMO (obviously, since it's my comment) the golden age is 2016-17.
I also had to drop Go Ahead 100% entirely and only because I couldn’t stand Song Weilong’s terrible acting,…
Omg same same! I loved the child actors, I was so disappointed when they grew up I absolutely adore how chinese dramas deal with youth and family. It’s idealistic but refreshing
Just learnt this is a Go Ahead adaptation. as opposed to almost everyone here, I didn't like Go Ahead. I never even got to finish, cause I liked the SML so much more than the lead and the ML just made me bored. So I'm looking forward to this! Let's see if this ML is more interesting (in my eyes, of course, every person has different tastes)
wow taste is really individual.. I can't imagine not liking this. The story, the filming, the acting.. they all giving me the feels hahaha I'm feeling the ache and longing and I want them to be together SO BAD. I know this sounds like exactly the type of drama that makes the leads go separate ways or that gives an open ending, but I just really wanted it to be cliché for once you know lol just realize you love each other, dump everything and runaway together hahaha

some other dramas with that king of vibe (kind of dark and romantic dramas):
