Is this film season 2 of the drama? But, didn't Zhang Wan Sen in the drama die cause falling from a lighthouse?
not really, this is more of a parallel story rather than a sequel (tho there's a post credits scene that is a direct continuation of the series, but it's like 2 seconds) and on the end of season one he doesn't die (on the 'past'), he goes abroad. but it's not clear if she returns to the other world where he did die or not. the last scene is open for interpretation and the closure is this movie's post credit scene.

Can you tell me the reason for breakup, who initiated it? I saw in clips that FL dating someone else, what about…
I think she was just this lonely and troubled (we saw her family being short on money so she couldn't go to college) and he wasn't there for her nor showed her he loved her. she actually says that what she wanted to ask him was "why didn't you asked me to stay". so yeah, I don't think there's much more to it from her side. rather, I think we'll see something happening on his side (til now we just heard him say "I'm working so I can be with you" but why's that?
it's actually quite beautiful to see an actor not wearing much makeup. japanese (men AND women) tend to wear less foundation and I think it's gorgeous!
it got soooo boring towards the end. I really can't help but thinking kdramas nowadays are just so bad people lost their senses when rating, cause this just NOT deserves a 8.5. but oh well.
this is so good!! the rate is really biased, cause during the time of release (aka 2016~17 the golden time of kdramas) the stakes were really high. comparing to 2024's dramas this would definitely deserve at least a 8.5.
Maybe it was because they took too long to film the second and third seasons, but I feel like Song Kang's acting changed too much and he lost that uniqueness he had built on the first season. Cha Hyun Su had lost eyes and expressions that made him different from all of the other characters Song Kang has played. But I didn't feel it anymore on lastest seasons, such a shame. :(
As a friends to lovers and enemies to lovers maniac, this has high chances of becoming one of my all time favorite dramas. this cast will definitely not disappoint. just hope the writing is good!
