For those who likes the trope of 'indirect kiss': (I found it from the indirect kiss of Pete and Kao in Kiss the Series some years ago, the first BL couple I came to know)
Any of you think that when Pran licks Pat's finger, it counts as an 'indirect kiss?' đ
I have been rewatching the beach scene at night again and again. That part where Pat and Pran were bickering with…
Pat: 'I'll go after you and sweep you off your feet'
Pran: 'And I'll make you get down on your knees declaring your love for me'
Those words, those eyes, those acting, those feelings. It's just too much, too deep! (Honestly, I don't think I'll see a series of this level again for many years, if ever)
I have been rewatching the beach scene at night again and again. That part where Pat and Pran were bickering with each other to admit first who likes who is just so well done!
Both Ohm and Nanon played their part very well, and especially Nanon, really love the way he says it, 'that you like me'.
How many of us can't wait for Pran to say directly to Pat, 'I like you/I love you' without this pretension of competition??
I posted my observations for this episode. Guys do give a read if you like.https://rdey.tumblr.com/post/669634923525750784/i-would-like-to-list-down-some-reasons-as-to-why…
I think everyone just need a breather after EP 5 and EP 6 đ
I am quite sure that if EP 7 preview doesnât fool us again, the comment section will explode after this coming Friday đ
(And I foresee that weâll reach 10,000 comments by probably EP 9)
Can I get a bit emotional here? Because I remember how this comment section used to be during the first 3 episodes,…
I remember those days... those bittersweet moments. Where there were animosity against this series based on just a few points in the series.
Not that it's wrong to say negative things about this series, but to do so with passionate hate and lacking proper reason for such action is just wrong.
If in EP04 and 05 we felt so heartbroken. What if Pat and Pran shared the same fate as Korn Ariyasakul and Intouch…
Oh no, please don't remind me of them here. I love their love story so much in UWMA, but at the same time was so heartbroken. Although they did have happiness in the end, but it was in the afterlife... and after so many years had passed.
It should never ever happen to Pat and Pran!!
But thanks for mentioning them anyway. It is another great series worth remembering.
Cumulative Bad Buddy YouTube Episode totals (combined all four parts for each) (Rounded to the nearest thousands)
EP 1 - 7,413,000 EP 2 - 5,897,000 EP 3 - 5,797,000 EP 4 - 5,474,000 EP 5 - 6,545,000 EP 6 - 3,690,000
(Note that EP 3 and 4 didn't have lower views because they were worse, rather it's because compared to EP 1 and 2 released earlier, they naturally have fewer views when we consider cumulative views over time. That also shows us what a huge bump that EP 5 and probably EP 6 gained from its rapidly increasing popularity.)
Grand Total - 34,816,000 (As of Saturday, 4 December 2021 - 9.45 pm Thailand time/UTC +7h)
EP 6 did really well just exactly 1 day after it was completely released on YouTube. If EP 7 turns out to be as great as the preview's showing us, it will probably be even more trending than EP 5 and 6!
well i feel something serious happened between the two families *way before pat and pran were in highschool* because…
Pat and Pran's families are working in the same construction industry. Pat's family was the more established one while Pran's family was a relative newcomer to the industry.
Initially they were partners, but misunderstandings between both (inevitable because of the nature of their work and entangled contracts), led to (if I wasn't mistaken) Pat's grandpa shooting himself, and Pat's dad almost doing the same, if not for Pat, who was still an infant then.
Pat's family essentially went bankrupt and had to borrow money from another person (whose family girl became Pat's fiance in the novel).
That family tragedy made Pat's father the equivalent of Pran's mum in the series. In the novel, Pat's dad was the supervillain. But the good thing is, he was redeemed and changed towards the end.
As GMM hasn't translated the new song yet and it's very much fit to the mood and tone of the story now. I think…
Thank you very much for sharing and translating!
If the first OST 'Just Friends' shows us Pran's desire to be more than just friends with Pat, then this second OST is actually Pat's reassurance to Pran.
If you look at the lyrics carefully and observed Pat and Pran's interactions in the past few episodes, it's quite obvious.
For those who like looking into symbolisms and little details, I am sure you remember that Pat and Pran both got the 'Sweet Basil' tag during the beach game (It was as if they were fated to be together).
Sweet basil was a symbol of hatred in the past (in Ancient Greece), but came to represent love in the present day Italy. It is a symbol of Pat and Pran's hate-love relationship, of hatred that gradually developing into love.
Later on, in the beach scene, as we all know Pran said, 'It's anger, not hatred'. So, it ties in well to how Pat and Pran reaffirm with each other that they never hated and were never meant to hate each other (but just made to appear so because of their families), and as we see, towards the end, the relationship grew to that of blossoming love.
I was watching the sixth episode again, and while I don't want to speculate too much, since it's way too early to see things...
I am thinking that is it possible that Pran's mum somehow found out that Pran liked Pat (maybe because of the 'guitar pick', or something else that Pran had that made his mother to find out?), and held that grudge against Pat because of that?
That explains her reaction towards Pat, which seemed to be even more extreme than towards his dad. It seemed that she disliked him more than the dad. It kind of linked well to the conversation between Pran and Wai when Pran asked Wai to take care of his guitar.
Wai asked Pran, 'Why did your mother hate you playing guitar so much?' And Pran answered, 'It's not just the guitar' before stopping to say anything (obviously he must have meant, 'It's actually because of Pat'). That's why his mother was so determined to separate them.
To explain and give more context to the actions of the Architecture gang, especially Wai, I am going to put it…
As audience, we have the privilege of seeing everything unfolding before us, every charactersâ actions, words and stories. But sometimes we forget that itâs not what the characters in the story experienced.
There are things that Pat did not know about the Architecture gang, and vice versa. The same goes to Pran and the Engineering gang too
And donât forget, Pat himself did not know what Pran was thinking, and he was trying so hard just to get Pran to open up to him and we got two very nice talk sessions in the beach (both the afternoon and night ones). The same goes to Pran as well. We all know how he misunderstood for quite some time, thinking that Pat really liked Ink (he was so relieved when he heard Pat said that he didnât like Ink that way - see the change in his expression and attitude to Pat after that).
If you re-watch the earlier episodes and place yourself in Waiâs shoes and see things from his perspective for example, then youâll understand better why he did what he did in EP 5 and EP 6.
1. Wai is a close friend of Pran, but not in a romantic way (their actions and eyes, body language quite obviously confirm this). But as a close friend should, Wai is concerned about Pran.
2. Pat and his Engineering gang had bullied Wai right from the opening fight at the very start of EP 1 (how many of us still remember this from 6 weeks ago?). Pat is especially the leader of the gang, and I am sure no matter how, Wai could not easily have let that fact go.
3. Remember the time in EP 2 when Pat and his gang bullied Wai in the bar, and the video was posted? This was the action that led to the destruction of the original bus stop. How would Wai feel if you were in his position?
4. Wai still did not know yet the full extent of the relationship between Pat and Pran, and especially less so the romantic attachment between the two of them. He definitely suspected something, but Pran still wasnât ready to go public yet. When in EP 5, he asked Pran during the drunken scene if thereâs anything between the two of them (Pat and Pran), Pran said very definitively, âWhen I said nothing, I mean nothing.â
To Wai, Pat coming down to the camp and repeatedly trying to get close to Pran, interacting with him and getting his attention might very well be perceived as trying to prank and annoy Pran (as was Patâs character) when Pran made it clear to Wai that there was nothing between the two of them (which isnât the truth of course!). And as Pranâs close friend, this really irritated Wai, and made him overprotective over Pran.
This is my thoughts on it. We have to pay attention to the characters and story very carefully, even that of the supporting characters to appreciate the story better.
Sometimes, put ourselves in their place, and youâll realise why they did what they did. To me, it was very clear.
guys I'll just say thisfirst ost is called just friends alright on the contrary, the new ost introduced at the…
The first OST is basically them wanting to be friends, and maybe more than just friends, but NOT YET.
The second OST is showing that they are ALREADY more than just friends, but still a SECRET to the world around them, that still misunderstood them, disliked their relationship etcâŠ
The change marks this significant change in their relationship stage, as of second half of EP 6.
When I ate the same one, I did touch my lips too! đ
(I found it from the indirect kiss of Pete and Kao in Kiss the Series some years ago, the first BL couple I came to know)
Any of you think that when Pran licks Pat's finger, it counts as an 'indirect kiss?' đ
you don't need a kiss to make an amazing episode. EP 6 just proved that.
To me, that beach scene at night is just as memorable and impactful as the rooftop kiss scene.
(The one in the afternoon was amazing too!)
Pran: 'And I'll make you get down on your knees declaring your love for me'
Those words, those eyes, those acting, those feelings. It's just too much, too deep!

Though I still feel that what I mentioned above may have made things complicated between them. Just a theory too.
