You have watched EP 3? The story has been amazing so far. Acting was amazingly done too!
Watch his story as the episodes develop. I truly pity him. Nut deserves happiness, I am not kidding. He really deserves it, after all he went through, for so long.
And I like the roller coaster of emotions too, how it can be equally very sweet while at the same time very intense and intriguing at the same time. That's what 1.5 hour episodes can give us. A lot of depth and time for the series to explore all those things well.
So far, this is much, much better than I expected. It's not a typical Thai BL and the typical Thai BL fans may…
It's very good. I am amazed by the complexity of the story (very engaging and intricate), the great acting from literally almost everyone, even to the supporting and minor characters.
Plus great music and cinematography. It's rare to experience this. Only Bad Buddy (to me) is better than this. It's my #2 and it's holding up well!
Hi all, The Miracle of Teddy Bear up to episode 3 so far had been very, very intriguing and exciting. It was very good. Amazing in its own way. As I said, I highly recommend it. It's definitely my #2 after Bad Buddy.
Very good storyline with a lot of twists and details (much like Bad Buddy) that made me analyse a lot of them every episodes. You can read them in their MDL page (I posted there), but don't read them unless you have watched the episodes, as major spoilers are included under spoilers tag.
Please do not read my spoilers comment below if you haven't watched EP 3 yet. Major spoilers there.
Waiting for EP 4 in just less than 24 hours (very thankful to CH3 for releasing the episodes this way, as is common for lakorns, so that we don't have to endure a week for every episodes).
EP 3 shows us very explosive revelation of the story. it explained why in the teaser, Nut's dad had a different hairstyle from Saen.
Sibmeun and Saen were identical twin brothers who both liked Matana (Na), Nut's mum after they met because of the accidental call by her grandmother.
I won't speculate too much yet, but as is obvious, Na liked Saen (who was far more temperamental than his brother, Sibmeun, who was obviously rather strongheaded and likely abusive)
Jan, Na's neighbour had grudge against her and her son especially because she knew that Na was Saen's first and true love. There are many possibilities here, and one of them is that Saen had to marry Jan due to her role in the company, and as Na was Saen's girlfriend at that time (even fiance, as she returned the ring), Sibmeun and Jan might have teamed up together (highly likely) to set Saen up so that Na would think that Saen was cheating on her with Jan, when it really wasn't (this was shown in EP 4 preview).
So in the end, Sibmeun get to marry Na, who might have seen a semblance of Saen in him, being his identical twin brother. But she wouldn't have realised how different he was from Saen, how abusive he would be to their son, Nut (you can see this in one of the teasers). Sibmeun was very much against Nut being gay. Although it isn't right for me to say this, but I was actually thankful that this evil dad died all those years ago (though it caused great trauma somehow to Na).
At least Nut did not have to suffer anymore. Some of us bashed him too early based on EP 1. Based on the more info revealed plus teasers, it was obvious that he literally suffered for many years up to high school and beyond, under his dad.
(And how about Na's hallucination about Saen as her husband? It was obvious that she still loved him in the end, and lived with great regret thinking of what could have been, had she married Saen instead of Sibmeun)
Plus, I think that it might have been Saen who helped to bring Na away from her old house (which had too much trauma of what happened there, the unloving relationship between Sibmeun and Na) to where he stayed. That is why Na became Jan's neighbour. But this must have been hated a lot by Jan, who tried her best to make Na's life difficult (with all her evil plots so far).
How about Tatarn? I am pretty sure that Tatarn is the son of Saen and Jan, who because of Saen and Sibmeun being identical twin brothers, my theory earlier of him being Nut's stepbrother was almost correct. Tatarn technically Nut's half-brother instead as they shared identical twins as fathers. He's older (Neung's batch) than Nut likely because Saen and Jan married earlier than Sibmeun and Na.
Tatarn gave the teddy bear to Nut (also from teaser) and he was one of Nut's closest person early in his life (but can't be lovers obviously because they were technically brothers and biologically related). But I guess Tatarn might have been the one who was always around to help Nut in his lowest moments (as a real brother should have) when he was treated badly by his dad, Sibmeun.
I love it when this series had two of the main characters are proudly gay (Nut and Gen). And it was lovely to see how Gen's parents knew about him and fully accepted his sexuality, and even teased him about it. It was beautiful.
And this story also revolved over two broken families because of deaths. The death of Sibmeun, Nut's dad and the death of Neung (Anont), Song (Aneung)'s older brother. I really hope for the happy ending for all the characters and their families. I won't mind to cry and to have angsty moment, but I really hope for a happy end.
I had fun reading those comments too...I have never seen a fandom so united in bashing their own show...😂 I…
People has always been critical of the characters, especially Theo's. I do not want to judge as I didn't really watch the series. However, it seems that the series was pretty underwhelming for many because of the story and plot, as well as the characterisation.
The Miracle of Teddy Bear EP 3 has just been released in Netflix (almost midnight time in Singapore), and may be later for other parts of Asia that it's available in Netflix.
EP 4 will be out 24 hours later. As I mentioned before, I highly recommend this series to all.
KinnPorsche EP 1 is coming out in less than 30 minutes.
Just some stats for comparison:
Bad Buddy watchers in MDL on premiere day (29 Oct 2021) was about 8,500 (we managed to triple it now to over 25,500!) KinnPorsche watchers in MDL now is almost at 17,300 (just over twice of Bad Buddy's back then)
Bad Buddy comments in MDL on premiere day was about 2000 or so. KinnPorsche's comments now is over 4000 (also twice of Bad Buddy's).
Was Bad Buddy well-promoted like Cutie Pie and KinnPorsche? No
(This is a reference to the post I made just below, regarding the popularity and support for Bad Buddy. Now that it has been so wildly popular, it's very easy to forget how it struggled in the earliest days)
It was almost forgotten after the reveal in Dec 2020 (first trailer at the GMM 2020 event), and the official trailer was out just barely a few weeks before premiere.
Very few events in Oct, Nov and Dec 2021 if any, with the Nivea cruise event among one of the earliest well-known event, by which time it was already EP 8 then, and many of them didn't have Eng subs. It took some time before OhmNanon's events were subbed (even unofficially) and it was not until EP 9 or later that they began to be paid attention to by GMM. Fans paid attention to it much earlier starting with EP 3 and 4, and with that epic rooftop scene at EP 5.
Was curious and tried to reply to a comment in the Not Me page regarding Not Me's popularity again vis-a-vis other series (it was highly implied that comparison with Bad Buddy). It was a very amicable comment thread overall ):)
It's quite highly obvious that those who frequented each MDL series page tends to be very supportive of their respective series (as we do here too). Honestly, I find it quite disheartening to see comments like how Not Me is one of the best BL series (while implying that Bad Buddy isn't, and that it's decent at best). Both are great and amazing in their own genre, and we should keep it that way.
Nothing wrong, each and every opinions are valid. But again, I find it a bit unrealistic how people are saying that Bad Buddy was less than stellar just because they have particular preference for certain genre. The one I replied to stated that he would only watch Not Me and Manner of Death (which are of rather similar genre), and that in fact straight away proved my point.
'Not Me's relatively lower popularity and viewership wasn't really because of the lack of support (as Bad Buddy was also lacking support until almost the end of the series), but rather because of genre and peoples' personal preferences.'
(It is a fact that some like heavy and suspenseful series like Not Me, Manner of Death and others - the upcoming KinnPorsche is of this genre as well, but it is also a fact that many more people prefer lighter series. Bad Buddy may be a rom-com, but let's not forget that it did get angsty at times, especially in the later few episodes, EP 10 and 11 in particular. Plus, the original novel, Behind The Scene, did get far angstier than what we saw in the series.)
And I like the roller coaster of emotions too, how it can be equally very sweet while at the same time very intense and intriguing at the same time. That's what 1.5 hour episodes can give us. A lot of depth and time for the series to explore all those things well.

And I don’t think they overpromote the actors either, but again, it’s fine if that’s what you felt.
To me and many others, Bad Buddy is the BL series that broke expectations and the model upon which other future series should base themselves on.
