Extraordinary You or Pinocchio if you’re craving cliché

Just analyzing your Plan to Watch Section, a few shows caught my eye:

Extraordinary You! I really loved this fun show. It brings me immersive nostalgia and happy feels. The only downsides to this show is that it was a little (completely bearable) cringy and repetitive. But then concept— of characters in a comic trying to change their fate— captivating. I love high school dramas.

Goblin: The only people who didn’t like this show were people concerned about the age gap. I didn’t watch this show completely, just a few episodes with my sister, but the comedy and execution are on point. It really seems fun to watch. Fantasy.

Hotel Del Luna: Slow, but captivating. This show is something that you could take months to complete. The plot is rich, deep, and slow. The visuals and prettiness was astonishing. This show focuses more on the characters each episode, making the slow pace. Push through the episode with the zombie in the closet— it is weaves in through the story later on. I think I completed this show in 4 months, but I absolutely love it.

Meteor Garden: I clicked on your review because I was curious. 9.5 stars for Boys over Flowers??? Haha. I’ve never watched it though. Meteor Garden is basically the Chinese version of Boys over Flowers, so expect the violence (cliché, etc) parts. Some people either love or hate Meteor Garden.

Moon Lovers: I’m planning to watch this show, it is famous and has a cast of many great actors. Historical.

Pinocchio: I haven’t watched Pinocchio, but it seems like the average, fun, cliché, rom-com. Very famous actor and actress.

Romance is a Bonus Book: I don’t understand the people who say this show is boring. It feels like a warm hug to me. Definitely watch this during winter or spring breaks, it is perfect for long breaks, rainy days inside. I loved the book elements of this show.

W: You should read my review of this show. Captivating? Very. I think it’s an excellent suspense romance for beginners.

Weightlifting Fairy: YOU’VE GOT TO WATCH THIS SHOW RIGHT NOW! It’s the greatest sports/college romance comedy ever made. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND WEIGHTLIFTING FAIRY to EVERYONE!

While You were Sleeping: Sad, captivating, mysterious, suspenseful. I’ve only watched a few episodes with my sister, but it is definitely one of those intense and thriller aspect shows.

My ID is Gangnam Beauty: Famously hated. Was is bad? No. It’s really only good for beginnerss. Chemistry is not so good. Plot is average , cliché, but still enjoyable.

My recommendations: add them to your list!!

Mr. Queen: hilarious, enemies to lovers, slow burn.

This is just one of my favorite simple rom coms. Chinese drama: Put Your Head on my Shoulder. I was smiling through the whole show.

I have to stop myself from writing too much. But I hope this is helpful for you!

Gosh the rating dropped from 9.0 to 8.9 stars. I feel like Penthouse watchers should understand that this show is not the same!! So don’t expect all the elements of Penthouse in this show and give a bad rating to it. Sky Castle and Penthouse are similar, but it has differences. Don’t expect the thriller and suspense aspects as you seen in Penthouse!!!! They are different.

Have you watched Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo? It's a 10/10 for me!

I saw you watched Bride of Haebak. I haven't watched that show, but I know it's nutorious for being one of his worser (?) dramas. If you want a great show with Nam Joo Hyuk, I HIGHLY reccommend Weightlifting Fairy. His character as the swimmer was SO CHARMING! His chemistry with the female lead is also great as well! It's the prefect summer-happy type drama.

Season 1 is AMAZING (get through the first 5 eps, it's like how you would have to in Sky Castle.

Season 2 is ICONIC. If you pay attention to the symbolism and parallels, it's even better than season 1.

Season 3 is not very good. The vibes are off. It's still fun to watch but not good quality.
