Female lead : pénible, chiante ! Each time I started to warm up to her, she would do something crazy or senseless. Ughhh. I ended up liking the side stories and the side caracters more than I enjoyed the FL. Especially the end, ridiculous even if I kind of understand what they were trying to convey.
This drama was frustrating from beginning to end. Also I don't know why the drama tried to make us root for the cheating couple + another bad guy. The last episode made me furious... I mean even more than the other episodes !
I dropped it after episode 4 or 5 because Cha Min's character was too dumb for me and I wasn't invested enough…
In the drama Cha Min looks far from smart. For me he takes the least logic decisions, uses the abyss mindlessly to revive anyone under any circumstances, and his reasoning behind his actions in general o_0f... . Se Yeon has her flaws too but they were less overwhelming to me than Cha Min's.
I'm a fan of Park Bo Young and was so excited to see her return to dramas, while waiting for 'Abyss' to finish…
I dropped it after episode 4 or 5 because Cha Min's character was too dumb for me and I wasn't invested enough to wait and see his character development. But you should try the first 3 episodes if you can and see if you like it or not and go from there.
I have seen a lot of comments of people calling other people hateful because they do not like this drama and I genuinely don't get it. I don’t understand why people always criticize other people who doesn’t like a drama and voice it. They are just saying that they do not like this drama and why and this is all there is to it.
All opinions are valid, the pros and the cons. When you think that something is good you tell your opinion and when something is bad you want to tell you opinion too. So are only the ones who likes the drama allowed to comment? How does it reflect how people really think about the drama if you want only the ones who likes it to comment and give their opinions? I am not talking about hateful comments but about comments that just explain when and why you do not like a drama. I am sure there are dramas that people who call other hateful do no like too and I don’t think they would like to be labelled as a hateful or even negative person just because objectively they do not like something, even if it’s not a drama.
All opinions are valid whether you like a drama or not. It is not because someone likes this drama that other people are not allowed to say that they dislike it and vice versa. For myself it is just an indicator. Sometimes if a lot of people say that a drama is bad I will want to try it anyway and sometimes I will stay away from it. All opinions are valid and I really don’t understand why somebody should shut up if they don’t like a drama as long as they speak with respect.
*Ultimately the readers of the comments should be wise enough to make their own opinion and take their own decision whether they are going to watch a drama or not regardless of the opinions of others. If the reader (of opinions/ comments/ reviews) is influenced it is nobody's fault, it's on her/him*
Cha Min seems extremely naive... and stupid. I try to see where he is coming from but it's difficult... He thinks and reasons like a delusional. I mean USE your brain!!! Unless for him it's either brain OR look.
With this drama I spend my time rolling my eyes or feeling frustrated. I feel sorry for the actors :(
I am not going to lie, I thought "facial blindness" was a drama illness. Does anyone know anyone who suffers from…
Me too, because of this drama it's the first time ever that I felt that I wanted to know more about this condition. I just watched some videos about it on YouTube + read about it. It can go from mild to very severe. Now I understand it just a little bit more.
Oh no!!! I think I should have waited before starting this one. I don't know if I will have the patience to watch this drama each week to see who is an enemy and who is a friend. I do like the first leads tho.
I like Seon Joo but she is the worst adviser (advisor ?!)! I am sure she means well but her advises turns into disasters for Dok Mi. Why not just tell Eun Gi the truth about Dok Mi and Ryan? Now Eun Gi will know the truth in a way that is much more hurtful than if they had told him the truth when Dok Mi wanted to... sigh
Ughhhh this Eun Gi I can't!!! Each time he appears I fast forward but sometimes I can't because he is either with Dok Mi or with Ryan 0__0'
The problem with Eum Gi is that he is totally in denial. He continues to lie to himself and doesn't admit even to himself that he loves Dok Mi but at the same time he tries to sabotage her emerging relationship with Ryan every time he can and his moves are getting dirtier and dirtier. I am sure that if he had thought about it he would go find Cindy and try to do something ughhhh!!! Even Seon Joo told him to stop acting like a brother if he has feeling for Dok Mi and he denied that he had any for her. Then stop meddling por favor! grrrr
The ending was anticlimactic. Everybody was a little too happy and acting like decent people and it felt odd since we know how they really were until the first 18 episodes. But still it was a very great drama.
So conclusion... - to succeed you don't need to crush everybody around you even your friends - you can try to study something that you really want to do instead of letting your parents choose and pressure you into a career - studying hard is not a bad thing as long as you want it and that it's not imposed upon you - being educated is often a good thing but it does not guarantee happiness and it DOES NOT define you as a person... neither does being uneducated... - you have only one life, studying is great but having happy moments is as important!
Instead of X minutes of He Ju crying like a Magdalena, they could have explained how did Se Ju was able to live…
This have nothing to do with the drama but I didn't know the expression crying like a Magdalena existed in English, I have only heard it in French, it made me laugh :))
