This was the series which I jumped into for its gay storyline but what me stayed was the the story of the leads chu ai and ping ke - the gay storyline was mehhh despite of the good actors - overall a good drama .
The adult version of storyline was handled very well as compared to other JBLs seen recently - the last episode seemed a bit lukewarm for me - overall not a bad drama - though would have loved more fleshed out characters for leads and more genuine skinship (as they are adults now ;) )- 8/10
Having read the novel and watched the series , I would recommend to definitely read the novel first to get the feels of love between the leads as u may not get them in series - though series does good in bringing various arcs to life but the leads have not much chemistry - supporting cast is good though - Huang Jun Jie acting was meh thruout the series while Xia Zhi Guang seemed to improved a bit - overall an okay watch .
the webtoon itself is very stretched thin but this was a total mess - one would think with the available source material the drama can be made better but nope - the screenwriter (a shoulder to cry on - dint like that one too) just maybe ? needs some more better writing abilities - 5/10 from me .
the 1st episode was good and the series seemd promising but then it started derailing immediately - whats with the screenwriters ??? such idiotic dialogues - good god !!!! dropped ...
some cliched tropes used as usual - was hoping for a fresh take although it being a 90s era story - okay execution overall ... 8/10 - just felt the cast was under utilised
Another disastorous JBL - there is so much of good literature in japan for BL / lgbtq in the forms of mangas / novels / animes with good storylines - inspite of such good source materials the scriptwriters just turn it into shitty scripts - and why get actors who are not comfortable with kissing guys - its ridiculous !!!
surprisngly well done this one - from the plethora of tons of average / meh jbl's this one kinda stood out - though would have loved more skinship between the leads :D
I gave up on mainstream korean dramas for years now - its the same rinse repeat stories - the KBLs brought me back to korean entertainment - I thought lgbt storylines in korean mainstream would liven things up but its really sad to see the mainstream still shies away from it - Let me stick to korean lgbt dramas only !!!! :D
this was better then I expected - the manga is supercute and adorable and the drama tried to maintain the essence - pretty quick turnover of events as compared to other JBL where it gets painfully slow .
the acting is okay so far - as per the novel qian and yuan are very inetresting characters - still trying to connect with the leads - hope its gets better in next episodes .

ahhh !! nostalgia - boys love (2006) and takumi kun series were the ones which introduced me to the live adaptation of shounen ai / yaoi genre from japan and converted me to fujoshi and never left me :D ... lol
