Ok, so this is a remake of a (back then) very popular lakorn. Considering watching this? Probably for the actors? If yes, you have to keep in mind, that the original is from THAILAND in the late 1970 or early 1980 so the "view and treatment of women" is NOT up to par with 2025! Why did they not change that in this adaptation? Well, because it is a remake (!) and lakorns almost always stick to the original! So, if you are expecting, that the ML respects ANY woman, that there are no catfights, crazy characters or you wish for some kind of rational thought - maybe this is not the right lakorn for you. If you are expecting ANY kind of romance you might just keep on looking for something else to watch...I remember watching the 2002 version of this, so I was very curious about the 2022 adaptation. It is a mediocre lakorn, watchable and the adaptation is well done.

He is not a rapist. If a man goes to a prostitute and pays her, he is not raping her, she does it willingly. The FL is a prostitute who sells herself for the house she grew up in. They made a contract. She sells her body, he gets to sleep with her whenever he wants it and she gets the house after one year. Written contract, she was not forced to sign. She read it beforehand, agreed and later on played the martyr victim every time he wanted to do what he was paying for.

FL FINALLY leaves the ML and his mommy in the end. He cheated on the FL and abandoned her and their child. He goes abroad in the end to earn money to support his family - yeah, even HE grew up at one point, after he had lost EVERYTHING: wife, child, job, reputation...Happy ending, because the FL can find a good man (a grown up man who does not need mommy to tell him what to do, when to do it and how to do it.) and was able to get out of this toxic family!

ML falls in love with FL at first sight - or should I call it obsession?!? He pursues her, she agrees and he marries her - against her fathers wishes. ML and FL father are competitors in the chicken restaurant battle. A tragedy happens - or, the ML makes a tragedy happen to remove all the obstacles in his way to possess the FL. Years later the FL finds out about that and many other things the ML did and she leaves him. It is not as simple as that but I did not want to spoil too much in this short summary.
If you are looking for a cute little romance drama - look somewhere else, this is not it. It is a very slow drama, nothing really happened for a very, very long time - to the point, where I got bored and did not even care for the characters anymore. The on screen chemistry is missing completely (main couple). The only thing I liked was the bromance.
