gosh...why are Thai dramas so bad on earth? I tried watching a few but all of them are so terrible including this…
Rape? The ML NEVER raped anyone. The sister was VERY willing to the point where SHE threw herself at him and he went along with it to get his revenge on her. Maybe you wanted to post this comment for another drama, because there was NO rape in this one from the ML.
Mediocre revenge. Revenge is my genre, I really like well thought out revenge plans, good opponents and a great showdown. Unfortunately this lakorn did not deliver what I was hoping for. I also like romace as long as it is not just puffy fluffy with pink unicorns so I was waiting for the romance part to begin. Yeah, that wasn´t that great either. Don´t get me wrong, this lakorn was ok but not better than mediocre. The acting kept me watching as it was done very well!
Dropped. TRIGGER warning: rape, gang rape, suicide of the gang rape victim, murder, abuse, torture! I can stand a lot of evil and I like dark dramas, where not everything is roses, butterflies and pink unicorns but this was just done badly....actually it was ok till episode 17. Just ok, as the FL as Pit annoyed me so much with her "I am a saint martyr victim and I will do anything for my sister because I am such a very, very, very good person. Look everybody, look how great I am! Look, how much I sacrifice! Are you all proud of me? I am so perfectly dumb!" attitude. Episode 16 did not even make me sweat but then came episode 17 with gang rapes, suicide and murder - ähm, was this not supposed to be a nice little romance? Well it was till this episode. A bit of evil, a bit of slapping, drugs and a lot of mentally deranged people but nothing too serious, nothing that would make me drop a drama. Actually I thought that Duean would leave after she had been raped, but no, she liked her "reward", was even proud of it....and went right ahead and did that to another woman but did not send only one guy, no, - was it 4? You see, at this point this drama drifted away into Thailakorndreamwonderland as Pit (you know, the dumb martyr victim) actually tried to save her sister and offered to take her place - ähm yes, dropped at this point.
Compared to other revenge lakorns, this was really not that toxic but still.....the ML is creepy, always invading the FL personal space from episode 1. He gets even more so, as the lakorn goes on: blocking her resignation, preventing her from finding another job and so on. Always smiling that creepy smile and full of arrogance. The FL actress remains very bland in this one. She failes especially in emotional scenes. Her character is very 2D, no edges and no character development. The was no on screen chemistry between the leads. Actually, the SL acting was way better than the leads. I read a lot of comments about the sister being so mean and evil - yes, she is a product of her horrible parents who , IMO, were the worst characters in this lakorn. Yes, the father cheated and brought home his daughter, yes, the wife had a right to be angry and sad. BUT, the one at fault was her husband and NOT a little innocent baby! Being abused from day one, growing up being abused every single day and then blaming the victim - really?!? I am surprised, that she did not snap sooner. And then the father telling the daughter in the hospital how much he loves her....and her asking: then why did you not protect me from mom who abused me all my life? This lakorn is a 6/10 for me for the acting of the second leads. Would like to see a remake of this with other actors.
This was by far the BEST of all the versions out there. Better than the Korean one, better than the Thai one and better than the Turkish one - my least favourite was the Korean version / the original due to the FL lack of manners.
Puh, this Thai watch challenge is killing me with those "classics".....first of all, I am not into slap kiss, so my comment might not be the right one to read, if you are into this genre and like it, so keep this in mind. Second, I am not a fan of Anne - she is better than Janie, but then, this is not hard to achieve IMO. The ML is really bad, no character development and a cheater. Cheating really is a no go for me and it went on in this lakorn for far too long - really far too long! The leads had no on screen chemistry, zero communication and acted like teenagers throughout the entire length of this lakorn. Now this would be ok, if this were a "young adult" type of drama, but the leads are and look old enough to have teenage kids so this behaviour is ridiculous. Now to the script: ML is very angry because FL left him for another man without a proper goodbye. He starts to abuse and torture the FL when they meet again years later. Yeah well buddy, you should have learned to deal with rejections at your age, you should be able to control your emotions - but then, this lakorn would have been over after a few episodes.....The acting of the ML was good, a bit stiff but ok. anyway, this has a "happy end", the FL takes back the abuser and everything is pink roses, glitter and unicorns....
One of the "not so well done" lakorns. The plot / script is really not that good, the plastic surgery is unbelievable (not only did they look alike, they had the same body, everything was the same, like come on!) and it took the ML way too long to realize, that she is not the woman he once knew.
