I mean, Diao does not tell Yi anything, lies about every little thing (about going out, about eating with Kuea...)and does stuff behind Yis back (training). Why does he do that? To be honest, the only thing, that I like about this show is, that it is showing those struggles. The world is not rainbows and unicorns and neither are relationships. What I do not like is the time wasted on -in my opinion- unimportant stuff. Those time skips are a dealbreaker for me.

He was not sober, when he said that. It was right after the "incident" in the car. He said, that he wanted to ride Qillin and that he wanted to kiss Lian again. And that - in my oppinion - is an indicator, that he in fact wanted that kiss and it was consentual.
