It's been reported that Xu Kai has been replaced in the upcoming drama, Ting Feng Ling. Xu Kai was cast as the sole ML. Later, it was changed to two MLs. XK fans were livid and protested loudly on the socials.
There was a lot of controversy as to how the situation was handled.
Perhaps someone used this as an opportunity to prevent further negative comments by Xu Kai's fans once production began and took him out.

If it's a project he signed up for, and then it was changed from a single male lead to two co-leads, he might be happy it has been canceled (but not the reason it was canceled).
From what I've read, this latest lie is already falling apart. Someone would have to go to the police and file a charge. That's unlikely to happen.

The "proof" that was posted was a money transfer of roughly $840 and a video of two people playing cards (I don't think faces are visible).
