It's rumored that yesterday and today was a team building exercise and Miles Wei had a read through of the script. Xu Kai will have his script reading session and makeup/costume test for the next 2 days.

The inciting posts have all been deleted.

The name change from the source material to Ting Feng Ling changes the emphasis on Xu Kai's character to the other ML. If it's been changed again, great!

Has anyone else read that the new title is Strange Stories From Tian Du?

I'm a little behind. Is the new title “Strange Stories from Tian Du”? That would be great!

It's not a great name change. The original material's title includes Xu Kai's character in the title. The new name refers to the agency headed by the other guy's character.

We all know who and what she is. Thankfully, she's well in the minority of commenters on Xu Kai's page.

I'm worried about how Xu Kai will be treated. Will the "other" lead get significantly more screentime? Will secondary characters pull focus from the main story? Moonlit Reunion is a perfect example.

Xu Kai's fans have made it very clear for quite some time that they share these concerns so perhaps it will end up better than expected.

Ting Feng Ling

I only know him from Flourished Peony and its sequel. I hated his character (which we were meant to). He's one of those singers turned actors like Liu Yuning with a built-in fan base.

Does anyone know where I might find the original web novel in English?

I hope this doesn’t mean Xu Kai's renewed his contract with Huanyu.

Xu Kai is very attentive during filming. I'm sure he can learn by watching the "trained" actors and apply those techniques that suit his unique style.

Bethcha should post on reddit. They absolutely love LYN. Xu Kai, not so much. They absolutely swoon over the singer-actors.
