Xu Kai made the decision to put aside costume dramas in order to participate in grittier projects, Fire Investigator and 800 Meters. These should be released later this year/early next. He then went back to fulfilling his agency's requests and just
wrapped a costume drama.

Let's hope he can chart his own course in the future.

What are his flaws? I see this generalized, backhanded criticism of Xu Kai often, but I rarely see examples. And I rarely see this soft attack leveled at other actors. It it just a accepted "thing" to say about Xu Kai?
