I read some of the comments and I do share the same opinions on those.

- The overall ending is heartwarming and satisfactory, I agree.

- Some felt that Jintae and Nayoung needed to be punished more. I also agree with that, but I think the current isolation and away from the family is already a good punishment for them, albeit not enough. Some think that Nayoung should die for a more satisfactory conclusion (either died during childbirth or succeeded in jumping off the roof). I think that ending would be too harsh for her since she is actually a victim of how her mom, and to a certain extent, her dad, treated her from when she and Suji were young (always being compared to, doesn't want to lose out mentality, victim mentality, inferiority complex issues).

- Some felt Yun-ja got away scot-free too easily, and I really agree with this very much. She was the one who caused Na-young to be in the current state from the beginning. She was also the one who caused Sun-young and Suji's separation for 25 years. Having her being forgiven easily by SY and SJ, and still becoming part of the big 3 families at the end, baffles me. So in my opinion, I think YJ needs to be punished more compared to JT and NY.

- Jiwoo's addition to the family, and Suji and Uri's decision to adopt her, are heartwarming. However, her character was being added a bit too late so I felt her presence to be a bit too rushed. I agree with some commenters below that I would love to see more scenes of Jiwoo and her family, and the extended family as well (e.g. playing with her aunt Ara who seems to be of the same age, lol).

In conclusion, this is still one of the better Korean daily dramas out there, and I love this drama very much!

I'm still watching Dear Hyeri and The Judge from Hell, as well as Love Next Door (ending this weekend). Catching up on Snow White's Revenge (Scandal) but tbh I don't really like it. I'm putting Beauty and Mr. Romantic and The Brave Yong Su Jeong on hold as well.

Most likely I'll be watching No Gain No Love (already ended) and Gyeongseong Creature season 2 (just released) next. Oh and also Family by Choice when it starts airing next week.

Not too complicated. There was a love triangle between Suji, Uri and Hyun Sung but it didn't last long.

Finally, have watched the final episode. It's indeed heartwarming, so happy to see the big family together in the family photo, and Suji and Uri's family strolling at the beach.

I am at episode 34 now and so far episode 2 to episode 34 are all flashbacks to the present timeline in episode 1.

Will we be catching up to the episode 1 timeline and continue where it was left off there (Jeong-in's death)? Or will this drama be in flashback mode forever? :) :)

I am rewatching episode 11. It's the best and most insane episode of this drama.

How Sang Ho oppa spared no effort to save little Sun Hui from the fire, which he managed to save her despite having to sacrifice his own life for it. It's so heartbreaking to see.

How the two parents are hysterical to see their son caught by the fire, with the firemen trying to stop them from entering the burning building. And when they hear the firemen say they found a body, and brought out Sun Hui, and not their son.

And how Eun Joo (the mom) kept on visiting the orphanage to check on Sun Hui, and the parents' decision to adopt her even though she's the daughter of the evil man who murdered their son.

The penultimate episode (episode 11) is the best episode throughout this drama series.

yes, the child actress who plays ara (yoon chae-na) was brilliant. her acting was awesome, especially in the episode when her biological came to visit her only to abandon her again. she won the best child actress award at the 2022 KBS drama awards for her roles in love twist and the love in your eyes.

i think she will be at least being nominated again for the same award in the upcoming 2024 KBS drama awards at the end of this year. but she might get tough competition from the two child actresses from perfect family (also in KBS) - oh eun-seo and shim ji-yoo, who portrays little sun-hui and little su-yeon respectively in the drama.

coincidentally, shim ji-yoo is also in this drama (last 3 episodes, as ji-woo the girl from orphanage who cannot speak due to selective mutism). i have a hunch that jiyu will be the one bagging the award for this year. she's also awesome in love next door as yeon-du but the drama is in tvn (not kbs).

other possible nominations for this year (2024)'s kbs drama awards for best child actress would be lee seol-a (beauty and mr romantic) as young dora, and jo eun-sol (snow white's revenge/scandal) as young seol-ah.

so, in summary, my prediction for the nominees of the best child actress in the 2024 kbs drama awards at the end of this year:

- shim ji-yoo (perfect family, suji & uri)
- oh eun-seo (perfect family)
- yoon chae-na (suji & uri)
- lee seol-a (beauty and mr romantic)
- jo eun-sol (snow white's revenge/scandal)
