Okay Seua, come on man!
At this point the only sane characters are Year's family and Pa Pin. Everyone else is either being manipulated, or manipulative as hell
JUST HOW TERRIBLE THESE CHARACTERS ARE!!!!
God, they suck!
I'm watching the ninth episode, and the only three main characters I don't want to actively murder are Seua, Year and Pa Pin. Really, props to the actors in this series, all of them are really good!
I really really detest it when they force romance into a relationship that works just as well as a friendship!
Now I'm convinced I have to watch this.
I'm recently on this Namgoong Min binge fest and I honestly don't like dramas where romance is forced into the plot when it has no business being there.
The 2014 version is the original, the one with Fluke, and that has two sequels :
Reunion is the sequel to the movie and it sets up for the series released in 2020. I didn't watch the series because a lot of people said that it focused more on new couples than the one they watched it for.
Now this version of My Bromance is sort of a remake with different actors and kinda different storyline.
My opinion would be to watch the movie, and then give this a try, if it's upto your liking then keep watching.
It was a really good read.
First, there's Sae Byok, who's more of your traditional hero, you know, righteous, brave and selfless. She puts herself before others (and not doing that during the games would have gotten her killed), but she never put someone's life in danger to do that. All she did was for her brother and her to have a better life once she left the game
Then we have Sang Woo, who I feel is the anti - hero. He displayed all the traits of an anti - hero, selfish, self centred and cunning, but that's what he needed to be to win the games. This did not justify his actions though, and his sacrifice sort of dulled the character.
Then there's Gi Hun, where I felt they wrote him into the Shakespeare quote of having greatness thrust upon him too much because honestly, he wouldn't have won if Sae Byok wasn't killed, or Sang Woo sacrificed himself. Or Ali hadn't caught him. Or so many more moments where others helped him out. Yes, some may say he was the hero, but let's be honest, there's no hero in Squid Games, just a whole lot of captivating main characters.
This is purely just MY opinion.
That was um
Messed up. Really really scary
Is Predator like his backstory?
