Hmm… I really love Zheng Ye Cheng, his visuals, his acting, his always on point acrobatic fighting scenes… but is this drama another one with fish kisses? Please, someone let me know to decide to watch it or not. TIA.
I watched it without any expectations, I didn’t think I would enjoy it so much. Kinky in a good way and adorable. I loved how tastefully was done. I never watched 50 SOG, and I won’t. Now this, I’ll watch it over and over. Lol It’s a 10/10.
I truly enjoyed this movie. I watched it with my hubby, who really isn’t fond of Asian movies or dramas at all. At first he tried to remain indifferent to the movie, in English -obviously- because of him. But them he got engaged into the comedy/action, and paid full attention to the movie. Lol! I did it. I made him watched it! Last night, I started watching “My name” and I didn’t say a thing. Let it play while I was preparing dinner. Guess who, sat in the couch and got hooked? Yes, I did it again! He “only” watched about 4 episodes, but for me that is a huge improvement after being, how I say it? Hmm… a bit belittled for watching my Asian dramas, and blah, blah. Yeah, anyway. I can’t explain the little inner satisfaction of sharing an Asian movie with him. A movie he won’t watch in his own. 😊 This movie was entertaining, I didn’t watch the first one, so I can’t compare.
Excellent drama, from start to end! What a quality product! The plot was amazing, how many subjects were depicted, and all of them real problems to real people. Nobody has the perfect parents neither we are the perfect daughters or sons. We are human, we make mistakes some small, some huge, some are just misunderstandings, some misconceptions. But we all can redeem ourselves, with love and open minds. I absolutely loved this drama. It took me very much of surprise, I was just waiting for the new episodes of Forecasting, Love and Weather and Business Proposal. And Bam! But, what a pleasure, the plot was unique and I can relate to it so much for so many things. The acting was superb of everybody but in special the ML and the senior ML, both gave everything. I discovered sensitive sides of Song Kang that I didn’t see in his before dramas. What a talented human being. Kudos to the production for making such a heartfelt, warm, family oriented drama. Because we’re humans we have dreams doesn’t matter the age, gender, nationality. Whatever that makes us happy is what we have to pursue, always in a healthy way like in this drama. Kudos to Song Kang for showing he isn’t just a pretty face, he has substance and raw talent. I deeply enjoyed this drama, the lack of toxic relationships, the lack of mama drama just nailed. Anybody can have a twist in life like the senior ML, at any age. Such a clever slice of life. 10/10.
OMG! What a beautiful surprise! I loved him in Love alarm, and Nevertheless. I’m also loving him in Forecasting Love and Weather. While waiting for the next episode to air I decided to give it a try to Navillera. I’m so glad I did. I discovered sensitive sides of Song Kang that I didn’t see in his previous work. I knew he was talented but I didn’t know he was incredibly talented. His role in Navillera has it all, He is portraying his emotions as a late starter ballerina so well, that is just beautiful. Keep going! You’re amazing!
What a beautiful drama! I loved every single minute, didn’t need skip any scenes. I loved that it didn’t have unnecessary angst, everything was perfect! It kept me hook from start to end. An enjoyable slow burn romance that was made very cleverly. I loved the chemistry between the main couple, and also between the secondary couples. The villains were very good too. I loved the end. I really enjoyed this family oriented, fluffy drama. Everything was in the right dose, each character was very well portrayed, acting was pretty good. Nice product overall. I loved the aesthetic of the customs although they went a bit in the unique side, loved the color coordination between the mains, the pastel colors palette for clothing and backgrounds. The fighting scenes were very good too. This was a big surprise, I didn’t expect much from this drama but it was very good. The opening song is beautiful, super upbeat ideal to start your day with a big smile and a happy heart.
I really liked him in his character Lu Yun Qi. He did pretty good portraying that creepy, twisted, madman and the same time at some point I felt very sad for him. Those crazy eyes were superb! I can’t wait to see him in more main roles, preferably ML roles. Good acting!
The drama deserves much more higher rating than this. You can keep your rate for yourself.. The drama is still…
Why should I keep my rate to myself. My opinion is valid as yours and everybody else. You may not share my opinion but you can’t belittle my point of view. The rating of this drama seems somehow inflated. Why? Because it was boring as hell most of the drama. You may not agree with me. But it’s my right to have my own point of view.
Not everyone likes eveything in a drama. When we are done watching the drama, we don't remember everything, but…
I agree not everybody likes everything in a drama. Platonic love could be a good and interesting subject. For me the problem with this drama is during the first 7 episodes nothing happened. Then in episode 8 something happened and after that again,, a total boredom for most of the rest of the drama. Until the last 2 episodes in the resolution of the main characters, and that’s it. The story seemed like didn’t move, didn’t have enough interesting plot. This was awfully boring.

That’s what I call pulling up votes. You’re indoctrinating people because you are infatuated with this drama. I understand you liked it a lot, I get it. But Thanks to that, people like me gets deceived in watch something promising and realized it was a big waste of time. The plot was boring 80 percent of the time. The pacing was awfully slow. The master/student relationship was inexistent, what kind of master abandon his student for half of their relationship. What did he teach her? nothing, neither with words or actions. He left her doing what she was used to in her own household, read. He said several times, he knew he left her in his royal mansion for extensive periods at a time, with no protection just a maid. They did have subtle good romantic moments but were only very few to really make it worthy to watch this drama. I saw your stats you are fairly new to this, to perhaps realize about it. You’ll find some amazing Chinese dramas, with compelling plots, from start to end. Dramas were the villains are vile and vicious, complex plots that keep you interested all the time. You will. Yes, I can judge this drama from my point of view. It was boring as hell. It was a struggle to watched it. It wasn’t slow burn romance, is nothing there to watch.
