I've read that Jiang Li was 14 years old, that would make sense since coming of age ceremonies were at14/15 years…
how is duke su 24 years old? he was around 8 when his father passed away and when he hit the drum (which was a decade ago) so technically duke su shouldn't be older than 20
You can really see the tension between A'li and Duke Su. You can see it in their expression, the subtle flirting.…
You said everything I wanted to say about their bond till now, wish I could save your comment. I'm not big on slow-burn romances but the tension they bring to the screen and the way they complement each other has me in a chokehold
Guys do you know what are those datas about ? Apparently when the drama aired last week, they were hardly making…
I believe it's decently popular but not a mega-hit yet. both their names are trending top 30 in weibo so some people are definitely paying attention to their drama
Ep 23 finally showed the repulsive side of SYR. In the beginning of the drama, he was always cast in sympathetic…
idk how many of y'all felt sympathetic for that piece of shit but I never did. he could've done so much to protect the FL, he could've let her escape somehow and buried a dead body in her place or somehow stuck with her through thick and thin but nah he's simply the worst
I want to see our second lady jiang and duke su ballroom dancing, and overpowering that psycho princess who's waltzing around. i can't stand those spins lmaoo
does anyone hate the husband of the FL? Initially I had some sympathy for him when he was haunted by their good…
Don't call him the FL's husband. I'm livid. Never had any sympathy for him. If I were him, I'd choose to protect my woman till the end or at least make a plan for our escape. He's a coward piece of shit and a lame excuse for a human.
On a lighter note, I love how XFF scolded XH in front of other people, everyone was in shock while he was slightly…
I legit screamed when she embraced his winter cloak in the prison while smiling ๐ and his personal trial/ questioning was him just sitting down and relaxing with her! they're too cute
I have a theory. What if Shen Yu Rong did not intend to kill her because he kept his flute when he buried her?…
NO 1. He kept the flute while burying her as a memory 2. He was in disbelief when he saw her as Jiang Li 3. He went to check her grave again to make sure Xue Fangfei he killed is still dead
And the best part all these emotions were evoked in us and they still aint together!!!๐ ๐คฃ๐
ikrrr seeing them together changed my brain chemistry but these clowns arenโt all over each other yet ๐ญ but thatโs the best part, their interactions are so non cliche, natural, and the tension omg. like are they teasing us or each other?!
I hate you guys. I binged watched it bc of how much you were hyping this up and damn now they have me on a CHOKEHOLD ๐ญ๐ญ Iโm such a simp for them. Excuse me?!! That rain scene? That flower girl scene? him giving her his inner clothes bc she was uncomfortable with a strangerโs? Her staring at him while heโs undressing?!!!!!!!
NO HISTORICAL CDRAMA HAD ME BLUSHING THIS BAD ๐ญ
sorry, but I can't feel any empathy for her mother, she gets on my nerves all the time, i try to understand chinese…
I totally get you ๐ญ I love Yang Zi here but couldn't continue bc of that mom. no its not even chinese culture, her mom is just insufferable. im asian and although my family influences my decisions a lot, if i discuss it with them, they understand because, at the end of the day, we want the best for each other. so there's a lot of communication and compromises involved. her mom is literally just sabotaging her daughter's life and no, the culture is not an excuse.
Dropping this show after watching till ep 7 bc of how frustrating it is. FL is trying her best and I really admire her. I hate how ML is using her and nothing is charming about him except the fact that he's played by Xu Kai and even that can't make me continue.
The FL's mom is the worst and every character in this show is lowkey annoying. FL's bf until ep 7 does seem like he really loves the FL but needs to step up and be the one she can trust and protect. I feel like their relationship can be salvaged if they work it out and communicate seriously instead of the bf asking for a cute apology and going back and forth. Their relationship seems realistic to me bc they both love each other but have problems like any other couple out there but they just need to work things out. the bf told his family that he's definitely going to marry the FL, isn't hiding any facts from his family, and doesn't look down on our FL and her family in any way. the way he's approaching things is wrong and he needs to step up his game but this relationship could totally work out if they set healthy boundaries with each other's families and focus on what's right for their future.
I hate how Asian families are shown here. Although Asian families are more family-focused, and members rarely tend to make decisions unilaterally and consider the input of elders, these families here are straight-up sabotaging their own kin. I hate this kind of overbearing representation and FL spinelessly keeps enabling her. I grew up in an Asian family too, if they get too overbearing, we talk things out and make it work because, at the end of the day, we all want the best for each other. Here, both families don't even seem like they want the best for their respective members. so emotionally messed up.
And the ML? He's just someone who didn't even visit his grandma for years and is now trying to lick his grandma's boots to get her company/ property. He's also using the FL and putting her in awkward situations and isn't an admirable leader until what I have seen.

I'm so not hooked.
