the scenes where man imitated the emperor tun made me laugh but the scenes after the real emperor came to the prayer cracked me up and roll out of my chair. i couldn't stop laughing "the pure elixir is so pure that my headaches are gone, my forehead's shining ARGGGHHHH" 🤣🤣🤣😭

there were so many chapters that i didn't read cuz its a big novel (more than 300 chapters), hence I didn't understand the epilogues fully. i just know the gist of it. its like: youqin sacrifices himself to save yetan & her twin. she dreams about him and her, then snapped back to reality where he's no more but will always be in her memory smth. I'm not a hundred percent sure if this is what it meant cuz i scrolled through a lot of scenes to get to the end but yea, it didn't seem like a happy ending with a proper closure. its either a sad one or a cliff-hanger in the novel.

i completely agree with you but i really felt bad when he pushed kui away when she tried to stop him. like you said, he needs to figure out what's and who's important to him

it seems like a sad ending from what i saw in the last chapter of the novel 😭 no, no i don't want the drama to have a sad ending and i don't want a cliffhanger ending too. they deserve a sweet happy ending 💓

i agree with you. few strong fls are only showcased as someone who has the courage to chase her crush & is labeled 'proactive & independent' just for that when she can't even defend herself in anything else. i don't mind cdramas that show a weak FL and then show character development/ power like the FL in L&R (loved her as the god of war btw 💓watched it for her).

I don't mind innocent FLs, but I don't like stupid/ gullible ones in the name of 'innocent & kind'. I don't mind seeing FLs who don't know martial arts but I hate ones without simple common sense. MLs and FLs should become better together and there must be a balance in the couples. not the ML doing everything to save the world & keep FL happy forever (saw this too many times 😑😪 let me take care of it, you just be a good girl **cringe*) & the FL just exists for ML & for humor?!!

To the people who felt weird or dropped this drama because ML fell in love with his sister's doppelganger, please try to reconsider your opinions or try to look at it from another perspective also.
I have a very striking resemblance (almost like identical twins) to the late-teens version of my dad's mom (my grandma). My grandpa looked at me as his sweet little granddaughter and doted on me. It would be very weird to assume he looks at me differently cuz I look like his late wife when she was younger. He did see & treat me as his granddaughter till he passed away.

& my dad gets rarely gets nostalgic because I look like his mom, he looks at me as a kid, his kid who he needs to protect or reprimand. This is mainly because I'm myself and not her. I have my own personality that sets me apart from my late grandma although I look like her. Also, there are identical twins with different romantic partners. their partners have to treat one as their love/ spouse and another as their sibling-in-law or family. That doesn't have to be weird. You DON'T have to associate a face with a person all the time. A genuine person falls in love with a person's personality and inner beauty.

Shen manning and Zhuang Xinyan have different personalities and different lives. It's wrong to consider them as the same person just because they share the same face. Xinyan is his sister who he fought and played with as a kid and got estranged due to the accident. He associates those memories and pain with Xinyan. He first looked at Shen Manning as a tool, then he fell in love with her personality and how they went through difficult situations together and worked towards a shared goal. If Xinyan was alive, I'm sure he could tell Manning and Xinyan apart. We saw Xinyan in the first ep, Manning behaves so differently. So, guys, it doesn't have to be weird just because two people very close to you share the same face

I kinda agree with you. Saying “Good girl”, “wait for me to come back”, “you still haven’t grown up” & all that to a grown up woman is disgusting and disrespectful. It irks me that these dialogues appear in many cdramas :/

The ending was nice but it would be so amazing if we get a special episode with yinlou & xiao duo and their twin babies 💝 living happily & also a few scenes of the other two sweet couples 💕 maybe im greedy cuz they've already done so much for us viewers by not entirely following the novel's 2nd arc & ending but yea, its okay to be greedy for this💘

I recently watched 'my uncanny destiny' (2023) & the FL was quite strong & smart from the start to the end. Try checking it out. The drama just got better and better as it progressed.

usually strong & smart FLs in cdramas are not stronger & smarter than their male partners 😕 rarely I have come across dramas where the ‘independent’ FL remains independent throughout the drama. There were few dramas like the fake princess but yea, I can’t seem to name many :/

Edit: Just watched the eps. There was a bite mark in Xiao duo’s lips so yea, now I get it. That’s how ppl found out that there was a kiss scene that was cut. How I wish it wasn’t 😔 censorship is playing a cruel game with us
