They both are already whipped for each other so girl just shut up. If it was smth like yinlou’s love might be unrequited cuz Xiao duo is an important eunuch or smth like that, I would have considered you a thoughtful ally.

I agree. being a totally nice, righteous & perfect is the type of roles Yang Yang has played, making him play a cunning role will be out of the image the media has created for him but still, I wish they made him play a cunnin HFX to show his versatility as an actor and to also follow the novel properly. If I was the author, I would have felt a bit sour after watching the drama cuz after all the novel’s a masterpiece

i agree with the glorifying part. Yang yang is usually portrayed in perfect roles & they altered HFX's character in the drama to suit this. Whenever BFX mentioned HFX being cunning, I never actually saw it cuz they didn't portray HFX like how he was in the novel.

I loved the conflicted anti-hero HFX who was actually cunning & was the opposite of BFX. The drama made it seem like both HFX & BFX have similar thoughts & personalities. That's not it. Their characters are created to be opposite but are linked & destined to be together. HFX in the novel had more ambition & was torn between his love for BFX & his ambition to rule the world. My heart jumped when I read the part in the novel where HFX finally realized that nothing will mean anything to him if BFX isn't beside him. That scene was beautifully written.

I have huge respect and admiration for the author of the novel💗it would have been nice if the drama fully did justice to the novel and followed it instead of inserting new stories in the middle.
