I have always wished to see a Eunuch as a Main Character, even if a fake Eunuch! I'm so happy to see Hedi in Eunuch…
omg yesss!! sameeee. I'm a sucker for historical dramas & costumes. I have always wanted a eunuch or evil minister (i like how they don't have nominal power but control stuff) as the main lead cuz its mostly a prince or general. Hedi's character is my type of anti-hero & im falling hard💘
I love dylan's look and acting but im falling for how nicely yukee chen's character is written and yukee is acing it💘 i never expected yinluo would to hit the tree and injure herself to comfort xiao. i was rolling when she hung on his robes, fake crying 🤣🤣& not letting him go till he agreed
Wang Hedi's character here is absolute perfection. His cherries, head accessory band, black/ purple robes, his ring, his majestic sword, his powerful stare, and the way he sits ❤️🔥❤️🔥everything is so perfect and elegant. Dylan's living this character. The costume designer and the rest of the crew must get a huge raise.
I felt it too. The ending was not perfect and does not do justice to how great the eps were at the start. Honestly,…
in the novel, BFX's background as the princess, her experience & bond with her generals/ soldiers were explored. To me, it was perfect. FLX's family or the palace politics was never majorly included in the novel unlike how the drama was. the novel didn't even mention the name of FLX's brothers.
tbh, I wish they brought all those BFX's novel parts in the drama. I really liked her trust & relationship with her generals after she was crowned and during wartime. In the drama, they make it look like only FLX/ HFX was backing up BFX. Although HFX is BFX's biggest support, BFX had other people who backed her up too. The novel's ending gave a hint that FLX was cured & they'll travel the world together, deep in love. For me, the drama's ending was a bit rushed. Either way, I think the novel is a masterpiece and the drama was great too!
I believe if there was no problem between the director/ producer/ queen's maid, during the production (big rumor) & one of the directors/producers didn't leave, I think the drama would have turned out even more perfectly. Instead of 40 eps, it could have been 56 with BFX's arc being explored too.
Wow, fans have been discussing the release of this drama for over 6 years.
6 long years?!! any cast? have they even started shooting?
edit: just scrolled down the mdl. seems like the work for this drama won't start anytime soon. maybe there are better stories out there or maybe someone will take up this. who knows
I saw his insta post. he received some money after not being able to earn properly for all these years but has still taken a bold decision to donate all of it. If I was in his position, I don't know if I'll be able to be so generous despite being a victim of a such cruel company for years. He's a kind soul. I hope his heart heals soon ❤️🩹get back stronger, LSG!! we'll be rooting for you

watched the scene where BFX's bro appears in WRTW again. I remember totally forgetting about HFX in the pony look & thinking "BFX, can I be your sis-in-law?!!"❤️🔥aaahhh! feng xie yue was & still is damn hot 🔥🔥
In the novel, the FL liked (not deeply in love, they met for a day or two when they were hiding. it was just admiration for a hero but Yingzhou liked her. he kissed her when she was unable to move due to the poison ig) Yan Yingzhou first but after he died, she started falling for HFX and realized she loved HFX all along.
In the drama, that 'liking' part was cut off so the ML & FL has only eyes for each other.
Also in the novel, FLX was ready to marry HCR to fulfill his ambition but realized that he cannot give BFX's right to any other woman ever. I loved this scene in the novel where FLX repeats "she's not her" "she's not my BFX" as HCR approaches.
Other than that, FW proposes to FLX & he rejects her. HC proposes to BFX & she rejects him.

So yea, no love triangle in the drama
