The sub quality drops off quickly from ep 9. I’ve watched enough Chinese shows to know that the subs were barebones summaries of the actual dialogue. Also a lot of grammar issues. I know it’s free, but I wish I hadn’t watched ep 9 personally.

This is a great watch! Honestly, I know they were not friendly for most of the show, but it was soooo fun watching Jiao Rui and Xiao Yan’s relationship develop into friendship. The two actresses have amazing charisma and on-screen chemistry.

Hey! I did end up watching the drama since I really like Tamia Liu. And yes, they’re all flawed and develop over the course of the drama which has made this a great watch that I recommend. I still think Xiao Yan can do better than Mo Ming haha there’s just too much baggage there

I really wanted to watch this show for the women, but after watching some YouTube clips, I am confused. Is Mo Ming supposed to be a sympathetic character? Because he was an awful husband and has no backbone against his equally awful mother. Contemplating fast forwarding his scenes if I do watch.

Really excited to see if they edit the drama to make the female lead the focus like she is in the novel! I think Yang Zi can pull off an amazing performance. Any romance can be a subplot so not concerned about the replacement for KW. We need more female-led investigation dramas ❤️❤️❤️

So I was just looking at the pics you posted from Twitter, and the gesture from his movie looks completely different from the classic Heil Hitler salute which he’s doing in that picture. Like the movie gesture has his arm higher and his hand looks different too (relaxed and thumb down, not straight out). He actually does the movie gesture in another photo in front of a white building too so you can see the clear difference. I’m not taking sides on this particular issue and don’t think he should be perma-canceled, just trying to understand.

Thank you! I think ZZH fans are getting a biased interpretation of these news from other fans so they’re not getting the whole picture. Hopefully they’ll gain some clarity soon. These posts are not helping him at all.

I keep seeing fans saying he cut his own endorsements but I don’t see any actual evidence for that. Just some random screenshots that have not been verified. This is clearly a huge issue for Chinese citizens and the photos speak for themselves, so it makes perfect sense for brands to not want to be associated with him right now. He’s apologized - just stick to that and hope his image slowly recovers. No need to make him a martyr.
