Tbh, they could've given us a spinoff movie with Jiang Cheng too just like how they gave us two spinoff movies with Nie Huaisang and Wen Ning. That would've done a little justice to JC imo. How i wished for JC and WWX to reconcile and go back to being "Twin Heroes of Yunmeng". 😭

Not extra but some prolonged scenes and a little different ending. It's just 50 episodes compressed in 20.
I could only find one prolonged scene when first time Lan Zhan got drunk in cloud recesses. That scene was a little more chaotic.
I was impatient so i directly went to the last episode (ep. 20) today and indeed ending was different but it didn't give me that kick like the original one.

I can't with Lan Zhan slowly, elegantly, non-chalently walking through the forests with Yin iron in his Qiankun and one hand at his back knowing how dangerous it is to be caught like that with his guard down. Ik it's a norm in history. It's true, it's their parents wish and even if they didn't like it they would've had to marry eo but we're talking about how JZX has all the rights to oppose this marriage and fully show that he's not satisfied with it even if he was going to terribly fail in the future while convincing his parents.

JZX was being a bch about his arranged marriage bcz he didn't want it. He never really insulted Yanli verbally about it in the drama. Drama also never emphasized on the fact that he disliked her bcz he thought she was not capable for him (as you said Yanli is obviously not a cultivator). And atleast he was clear from the very start that he didn't want this marriage. Imagine if no-one forced them would he ever get the guts and a chance to look down on Yanli in future ??
Apart from his two mistakes, once when he kicked them out of the inn and once when he "MISUNDERSTOOD" Yanli's good intentions was there ever a time in drama when he was being disrespectful to her ??
We need to look into the story from both sides not just one. Yanli sure was a well-mannered woman but that doesn't mean JZX was ill-mannered. He just didn't want to be in a marriage he didn't want and that's the thoughtfulness of his character bcz he knew he wouldn't be able to keep a woman happy whom he is not in love with and he was open about it. He didn't want anyone to take chance to stir that conversation and bring mockery to them and both their families.
Yanli always took WWX's side bcz she knows him and his intentions very well as his elder sister. She knows no matter how troublesome he is he can never be as wrong as to take her husband's life. When everyone was against WWX she ran over for him just to tell him that she believed in him and she doesn't blame him for anything. But Alas! She couldn't say it and d*ed admiring him in the battleground. That doesn't mean she hated JZX. She married him bcz she trusted him with his words.
You can't keep on thinking what JZX would've turned out in future when you haven't seen him enjoying with other women in the first place. It's not right to think about him that way just bcz his father was an a$$hole.
JC is indeed more mature than WWX bcz he knows what burden he's carrying on his back and instead of helping him WWX kept increasing his burden even more. JC is supposed to take his father's position in the future so what should he do ? Is he immature for being so thoughtful ?

Yanli was mature enough and that's why she never spoke about it but guess what WWX as immature as he was *HE CREATED A SCENE IN FRONT OF ALL THE YOUNGSTERS AND PAINTED JZX AS A HEARTLESS PRICK FOR BREAKING HIS SISTER'S HEART*. If i was Yanli i would be more embarrassed about the situation WWX created there than JZX not loving me.
