ep 4 turned me into a big crybaby wtf. also ik-jun's last note "we must forget" was so pleasing to listen to,…

I think Suk Min changed his specialty from Neuro Surgery to something less intense given that he was always tired…
One more thing...to support my contention that Ik Jun has always known about Jun Wan and his sister's relationship. From tonight's episode, the scene where Ik Jun and Jun Wan are having dinner in the cafeteria....Jun Wan tells Ik Jun that he has a lot on his mind. When Ik Jun asks him "And what else?" It seemed a pointed and more direct question this time. Less of a hypothetical and more along the lines of I am ready for you to tell me what's going on between you and my sister because I can see that you are hurting.

The stories of this season are so good but the mood feels bit sad compared to the first season.
Episode 4 was definitely one of the more melancholic episodes. Even the song choice seemed not as upbeat as compared to Reply 1988...as if they were just going through the motions.

Woah, what a great episode this week. I feel like Winter Garden didn't get as much time as in ep 3 overall, but…
I think Suk Min changed his specialty from Neuro Surgery to something less intense given that he was always tired when he was a resident under Song Hwa, and complained a lot but I may be wrong about that. I feel that the look from Ik Jun to Jun Wan after the phone call from Ik Sun was more of a "how do I keep this from him, and why would she ask me to do that?"
Something along those lines. All I can say about the scenes with Ik Sun was Tsk Tsk. Talk about selfish. No concern at all for what Ik Jun is going through. So the phone call from Ik Jun to straighten her out actually had the opposite effect, and why the hell didn't Ik Jun corner her about not mentioning Se Geong's sex. Arrgh!
Must say though Jun Wan's characterization of his role this week was Top Notch. He conveyed every emotion that was required of him to a T.

So does Ik Jun know about them or not? I think he does but at the end he was shocked at them breaking up/how am…
I think he always knew and here is why
1: Ik Jun knows everything going on in that hospital.
2: From last season the 5 were in the car on the way to dinner and Ik Sun called. Her # popped up on the dashboard. No way Ik Jun doesn't know his sister's #. Besides she is saved as Bidolgi (dove), which the siblings are linked to.
3: Ik Jun deliberately blows off Jun Wan everytime he tries to talk to him on a serious level....knowing full well what he wants to tell him.
4: Ik Jun would constantly dangle Dr Ahn in front of Jun Wan as his potential brother-in-law despite Dr Ahn telling him they were just friends
repeatedly.
And last but not least...From last season Ik Jun leaves Jun Wan and Ik Sun in his apartment to babysit Woo Ju, but suddenly reappears and interrupts their hug fest. One of the funniest scenes but I think he did it deliberately to catch them off guard. Not to mention he is always throwing out these little leading lines at Jun Wan to get him riled up.
Anyway, that is what I think. There maybe a few more hints but I forgot what they were.

Anyway, that is what I think.

And last but not least, from last season, the scene where Ik Jun leaves Jun Wan and Ik Sun in his apartment to ge babysit

The main problem with this show is the 1 episode per week, 2nd Sep :(
Agreed...sure keeps me on toes. For the first time in my life I am acutely aware of Thursdays.

My prediction is that Ik-sun is going to break up with Jun-wan. In season one, Ik-sun make Jun-wan promise that…
I agree. I too loved their dynamic and the way they bantered with each other from Season 1. Thought they communicated well and despite agreeing that the distance would pose a few challenges they seemed ready for it...But I dunno, after last week's episode, that is a lot of unnecessary hurt to get past for Jun Wan. So either way I am fine with their decision. Move on past it or breakup.

Nah, it's not that Ik Jun is too perfect of a surgeon, but he's too perfect of a human being. He doesn't have…
No one is arguing about ones's right to express their viewpoint and certainly not on this thread. Dissenting arguments are always a good thing but that poster had a ton of grievances about this season's episodes thus far which in my opinion are unfounded given the level of writing and vision of the show's writer and producers and in fact they must be doing a good thing given the ratings and the enormous fan base the show carries. Also it may seem that Ik Jun gets a lot of screen time but that maybe due to the way his character is written. We all do or should know an Ik Jun at some point in our lives. Someone who lights up a room, who never seems down and out no matter how shitty life is and is just so good at everything he does. That person can be envied but not reviled. Not sure why we need to see him not conduct a successful transplant afterall he could probably do it with his eyes closed at this point but maybe future episodes will address that. I don't think that it is a case of him having no character flaws afterall he is human and last season we got to see cracks in that facade of his despite his happy go lucky personna. Each character to me has plus and minuses as with any drama but the negatives certainly are not at the level that would warrant such heavy criticism especially since we are only at Episode 3. But yes you are right, we all come here to give our opinion whether good or bad and a level of tolerance should be allowed.

On Hospital Playlist Season 2 Jul 3, 2021
My takeaway from Episode 3 is one of complete awe. Every emotion was checked. I mean I loved the series before but Season 2 so far is just brilliant. While Writer Lee does not get as much attention as PD Shin, I thought what kind of brain does she possess that she can produce such a masterful screenplay week after week. I saw a couple days ago that some were complaining that Ik Jun was too perfect of a surgeon and wished for him to slip up sometimes. Like What??? Surgeons on a whole are a lot like Prosecutors in that they aim for more successes than failures and having worked in the hospital field, I can say with complete confidence that the writing is spot on. Hospital life IS about predictability and routine so I am not sure what these critics are looking for since PD Shin has said in numerous interviews that his vision for Hospital Playlist is that he "wanted relatability and a goal of creating empathy." I for one hope this does not change. Others want their favorites to have more screen time.
Not sure what they have been watching from Season 1 till now, but since this is a multi character drama, with no main star per se the scene placements will be spaced out so everyone probably will not be happy. These complainants should just treat this drama like buying a house-you won't get everything you want unless you build it yourself. In this case, write your own screenplay. When I want to watch dramas with overly exaggerated cliches, cringe worthy dialoge, sloppy drunken scenes, terrible execution of the characters roles (in other words bad acting), there are plenty of melodramas to choose from and unless I am mistaken this is not that genre. Hospital Playlist for me is one of those rare gems that you get every once in awhile and I intend to eagerly await the next episode with the same mindframe.

They both agreed to be honest with each other which is something she stressed to him in Season 1. I feel that…
But for me, I don't see it as an either/or factor. One of the things I appreciated about this couple is that they seemed to have great communication skills which is why I think a lot of us are puzzled about why she never mentioned the sex of Se Geong despite dropping his name so comfortably to Jun Wan at least twice from what I remember. So it's not necessarily beating up on her
but that she caused an unnecessary misunderstanding. For me though I saw this coming from episode 1. I do hope though that it gets resolved without any major trauma to them both because I do like them as a couple.

People keep blaming the woman when something bad happen to the relationship. Disappointed but not surprised. How…
They both agreed to be honest with each other which is something she stressed to him in Season 1. I feel that she conveniently forgot to mention that her "friend" who by the way she mentions quite often is a guy. No amount of trust would make that that OK especially when you throw in that it is a relatively new relationship and long distance. Jung Wan seems to be a pretty reasonable guy when it comes to dating. What has he done though in your opinion that makes him immature?

I think you are absolutely right...he has mentioned to the gang before that he felt sorry towards her because of his father's shenanigans which was the reason for the divorce...maybe because too he felt it was not what she signed up for.

she's working in another smaller city sokcho (160 km distance) but still does vip surgeries occasionally to get…
The question was why did she leave the main hospital which I answered as did you. I mentioned nothing about a confession from Ikjun. Episode 10 Songhwa babysits Ikjun's son who had a fever. Afterwards at the kitchen table both Ikjun and Songwa have a conversation about what is important in life when he tells her spending time with her is a treat for him that he always looks forward to. The timing of that conversation and her announcing to the gang that she was transferring out to a satellite hospital was curious to me and that is my opinion.

Technically she had not left. She is on a sabbatical of sorts transferring to another branch of Yulje Hospital where they do fewer surgeries so she can rest her neck more. But I suspect that Ikjun's conversation with her about how important she was to him left her a bit flustered and she wants a bit of distance between them to sort herself out.
